May I throw in my 2 cents about Tom Jones? I liked him when I was 20; now, he just seems a bit overwrought to me. Anyhow, I prefer his version of IWHN to Manfred Mann's soulless monotone. But really, the best was Ben E. King. Although, it isn't my favorite song in the first place.
