I was undecided about "thief" or "thieves". The Google entries for this movie alternate between singular and plural.

As the original title is Ladri di biciclette and ladri is plural of ladro (Italian for thief) I think it should be Bicycle thieves, but you are right, both titles are mentioned on the net.
