There was an item in the news that Hal David died two days ago, aged 91, the (co)author of e.g. "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head". Hal may be a common enough nickname in English(?), I don't know, but I don't see it often and my association was with this one ;).

The song was just the closest I could find with a title that might sound as a message of "he's gone".
