Oh, man, once I discovered mine I have been a lunatic with that place. And since I love to read so much, what more could I ask for???

Yeah, I'm not qute sure where exactly you are in relation to me but, like you, I do know we experience the same weather conditions generally. Although, however, I am well versed enough in my Canadian geography, I am not quite sure where "a forest deep and dark" is located ....

Technically, a forest dark and deep is located in the middle of nowhere, out in Eastern Ontario somewhere between Ottawa and the Quebec border and fairly close to the St. Lawrence River... Does that make more sense to you geographically speaking?

I'm not sure where in Canada soaring through the airwaves is myself though...... :lol9:

Oh, okay...I know the area!!! Cool!! As for me, I am soaring the airwaves approximately six hours from Toronto going northeast. I'm sure you know the place...

Btw, Marnia, I just got a book from the library today that I had to start reading minutes after returning home. I was initially looking for Edgar Cayce material but didn't like what my choices were so as I was walking down the aisle, ready to leave that floor, I turned my head and this book simply jumped out at me. Not literally, mind you, (:lol9:) but it caught my eye enough that I pulled it out, gave it a once over and left with it. I rarely do that. RARELY!!!!
It's the author's second book and it's called At Peace In The Light by Dannion Brinkley. His first book is called Saved By The LIght. A synopsis on this book I have reads "The further adventures of a reluctant psychic who reveals the secret of your spiritual powers." Thought you might be interested. If so, see if you can't get both of them. It sounds promising as a good read.

Wow, cool thread. I might have to sit and read the lot one day, but not today, sadly. Honestly these days I'm so busy sometiems I dont' even recall WHY...

That reminds me of Hitchhiker's guide. The answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything, is 42. But what IS the question? IN a way, being funny aside, I think there's some truth in it. we want the ultimate answer, but none of us really know WHAT the question really is...

As for a question I want to ask... That'd be so hard. I guess I'd like to know the nature of "Self". That one has been bothering me for a while. (See my post in the philosophy post. :P) I would like the actually know once and for all....

I have an interesting belief system. I was raised a Catholic, almost got converted to become a Buddhist (surprisingly it's the Catholic's school's religion class that did that) and used to play with tarot cards. Then this nun who taught us, (who's one of the wisest person I've met and quite a cool teacher too) was telling us about how we shouldn't tap into the spiritual world without knowing what we're dealing with. We never know whether spirits are here to help or not. Her explaination was something like if they haven't moved on to another plane of exisitence, obviously something is holding them back, and we really don't know whether their intention for helpign is actually a good one... I think I stopped playing tarot card around then.

I think I still believe in a spiritual layer in our existence. It's just that things around us happens in such way that it just make sense... But then being a scientist as I am, sometimes it's hard to actually bridge the two aspects of my life. Especially when I've been trained to be skeptical (what science does to you...) It's almost a curse.

Hmm, interesting thread indeed...

I have taken philosophy as a major in highschool and especially in the last weeks before the exams, I got totally freaked out by all the different theories. Thinking about all the possible questions and answers, I developed some kind of faith that when I die, I will find the answers to all my questions. With that faith, I can keep my head straight when I'm once again overwhelmed by all the questions, because I happen to freak out thinking about it...

I don't think I can highlight one question as being the most important. Some of the questions I have are:
* What's the purpose and future of mankind?
* What will happen to me?
* Was I morally good during my life and will I be rewarded/punished for it?

Glad you liked, sweetheart. Those books on true experiences are more interesting to me than any other on this topic. You can actually look at it and know that it has happened.

Re: The Light of Spirituality

Ok now that I've finished reading these books, some questions have emerged...
Are the spiritual guides ppl who we have met earlier, or are they just souls?I mean, is there a possibility that in a previous life, we've met them in physical form?
And what happens to them after death? Do they remain next to us?
In case we return to life, do we have the same guides again?

So many questions eh? Hope I don't cause much trouble...

Don't you be silly, girl. This is what it's all about; asking questions, gaining knowledge. That's how we learn.
Our masterguides are ones who have lived a life with us. Many times they were a parent to you, a sibling, a husband/wife. After dying they remain in the spirit plane to continue processing and growing to become masters so that they may be with you always. Other guides are also ones who have shared a life or lives with you. These guides make up your band and remain with you throughout your complete journey. They have gone through what they need toin the physical form so now they are able to structure your spiritual support.

Re: The Light of Spirituality

Hmmmm...
Are they feeling me?
I mean, when I think of them do they understand it?
Is it like " I think of them and they feel it" or they are always there?
Talking to them has any effect? I haven't been able to actually talk to them (just like you do), but if i talk or think something , does it have any effect?
I know a little girl in my family, who every night has a chair by her bed, and if you ask her what is this for, she says that she invites her angel to sit by her bed and not to stand and getting tired...
