Not the Future I found this riddle on reddit, it has a quite interesting atmosphere compared to the usual riddle and it has some reoccuring themes such as war and human primates
The creator made it because he thought that riddles like Notpron were too hard.

Ok, to do both this puzzle and the three circles one you need to work out the symbols for each of the numbers. There are four separate clues for this.
The book in the library which I'm sure you've seen.
The scales and the balance, also in the library.
The cups, jug, and similar objects in the tearoom.
The maths isn't all that hard. Good luck!

If you follow these instructions, when you try to talk to her again afterwards you should see the number you want in the second bottom line. Printscreen and paste this somewhere.
There is a reference book that you use to get the second part of the code.
In basement SE.
Compare the first five symbols on the same line as your number with the last page of the blue book.
This should give you both parts of the code and get you into 4FW.
Congratulations! The plot summary would be wonderful!

Ummm...I've finished the puzzle, got the black sword w/ring....But what now? I go to the water on 1F and get teleported to some airy place with arches and then get struck by blue lightning. Somehow, I don't think this is the right ending...

acdec_llama, You're correct, that is not the full ending. Just one of the 7 or 8 other possibles. Where is your telescope aimed? The image on the water should match the picture on that room's wall, not the view you saw as a drawing in a book somewhere.
[just for shits-and-giggles, I tried to go back and refocus the "scope" to see what would happen with another view. But the game won't let me access the 4th floor anymore since the full monty ending] Anyway, when you meet "SPOCK's" little sister in a little cabin somewhere, Your a full ending winner. GOOD LUCK.

If you're using windows, shift-printscreen will copy the entire browser window. THen open up your favorite paint program and do paste. You'll probably want to crop it a lot.
Once you have the ring, go find the 4th floor sword. Save *before* you touch it!!!
