I'm new, I guess I'll expose my slow uptake on this stuff.

I've done this and I've found a correlation mentioned above, however, I have no idea what it means, how to apply it, anything.

Can you tell me what these symbols are? Do they represent wind/fire/water? Am I looking in the wrong place for clues on how to solve this?

I wish I could read Japanese.

I'm having the exact same problem that you're having. I feel so clueless!

I did some research and I guess she tells you something about a date. Aurora had posted earlier to search for "Date" or "Reference" and I've done that, but I'm lost.

Yeah I've been doing that for about the past hour and a half but I'm still stuck! What was the number that you recieved?

The symbols before the number match up with the symbols in the SE basement book which are designated to the number of that row. After this go up to the 3F in the same room you got the key for the library. Ther is a book on a desk to the left of the door that leads to the corkscrew staircase. In this book first look for the number the basement book designated (I believe the Jap. symbols are there too) and then look for the number that Karis gave you. there will be a six letter code directly beside this and that will be your teleportation code.

LunaHoshino is very sleepy

If you guys are still having trouble with getting the code, get me screencaps of the numbers you got and I'll go read the Japanese for you and get you the 6-letter code.

If you're wondering just what the symbols are, they are referring to the names of months. So you've got month names like Month of the Flower Fairy, Month of the Unicorn, etc. The 6-letter code is actually the name of a saint whose day it is.

Do the rings go into the case in left to right and up to down sequence, to match the bell tones from 1-7?

Did you figure this out?

If not
Spoiler:
The symbols in front of the number indicate what page of that book you're supposed to look at. The number is the line you need.

First of all, thanks. I think I should probably propose marriage to Aurora because she's been holding my hand so much.

I did figure out a bunch of stuff on my own, though, so I'm somewhat proud, after the frustration wears off.

I'm just up against this bell thing now, where can I find what tune I need? I really have done a boatload of searching this thread, I swear.

TIA

Edit: haha, I just saw my post count, I think it should read: "Begs for clues: XX"

This part of the game has been a real pain in the ass for days because every time I'd reload the game to talk to her, I had to peruse 60 boxes of up to 5 lines each of kanji Krap!. Not easy for an old fart with glaucoma.

Thank you ALL for your help. The best hint I got from you guys was that my number would appear in the second to the last box. I knew I always had 60 to go each time through (not just eleven like some of you lucky ones) and Looked for the goofy "H's" that would be on ether side of the number. In my case, it was the single digit 3. Anyway, THANKS AGAIN. YOU MADE MY WEEKEND.
Yay! I'm so glad you got it! I never bothered to look through what she said - hard work! - I just raced through the conversation till it stopped and then looked at what she said when I tried to talk to her again. I'm lazy. I think it was 60 pages for us all, I was meaning you had to *ask* 11 questions, some of which got 10 pages as an answer. Enjoy the rest of the game!
