Not the Future I found this riddle on reddit, it has a quite interesting atmosphere compared to the usual riddle and it has some reoccuring themes such as war and human primates
The creator made it because he thought that riddles like Notpron were too hard.

Continuum Hey, has anyone tried this one? CONTINUUM
That nice person who was doing the walkthru stopped right before the puzzle I am stuck on! Would anyone like to enlighten me on how to solve the 5 clocks that open the door in 3F Southwest? I have the tree clocks figured out and I have tried numerous combinations of those times to no avail on the door lock clocks.
This question had already been answered (in detail). Check out posts numbers 118 and 125.
Also, in case you didn't know (and I always find this really handy for when there are tons of responses like there are in this thread), the "Search this thread" button near the top of the screen is incredibly useful. If you put in "clocks," for example, it'll pull up both those posts I mentioned.

I wonder why I never noticed that before. Thanks!

"My country lay within a vast desert. When the sun rose into the sky, a burning wind punished my lands, searing the world. And when the moon climbed into the dark of night, a frigid gale pierced our homes. No matter when it came, the wind carried the same thing... Death. But the winds that blew across the green fields of Hyrule brought something other than suffering and ruin. I coveted that wind, I suppose."
"Ughnn... Heh heh... The wind... It is... blowing..."
Okay, I'm TOTALLY stuck on getting the sun and moon puzzle to work. I know what the answers are, but I can't get them in the right place. Can anyone lend me a hand?
In exchange, I can explain the reasoning behind the buttons in the library puzzle.
Spoiler:
The note tucked into the book on the first cabinet on the left tells you what you need to know. "If you wish to obtain the silver short sword, find the scrap of paper in the window and use it to obtain the book hidden in the center. The white flower will tell you how to use the sword."

please please, tell me where is the picture with the key to the library, i´m in the 3 floor already but i can´t find that key, i´m going to crayyyyyyyyyyy!
EDIT: Octagon solved (so it DID have to do with the first page of that book in the library!), and now I'm working on that algebra problem in the basement, which I'm guessing is connected to the puzzle in the elevator room (which is connected to the moon machine)?
Also, guys, if you want explanations for some of the solutions (like the octagon one) I'll be happy to explain where they came from. I speak Japanese.

help needed!
so I went to the basement, solved all of the puzzles and never met the guy you are talking about.
went to give apple to the girl, saved game before testing all of the options. However, due to the glitch in the game, my apple is now lost and I am not able to find it anywhere.
I understand the guy in the basement or the girl will give you the hint for the book with codes in the 3f room. I am not sure if these are the same for everyone, but could someone post the hint/code, so I could continue the game.
The only new thing I can do at this moment is to throw the dagger into that eye thing over the desk in the dungeon which returns me to the first room.
thanks
I didn't get the code from the girl either, but then I haven't solved that one basement puzzle yet so I dunno if I will encounter the guy.
The girl just blabbed on and on about the king and how I'm the chosen one and some other stuff to that effect but I'm too tired to really read it carefully at the moment.
EDIT: Anybody know what that note on the wall in the basement (the part accessed by going down the ladder after you solve the octagon puzzle) refers to? It says
Spoiler:
that there is something dreadful sleeping within the basement, but that it is also something very important. And that to return it to its true form, you need to use its name...

Save before you start talking to her because it seems that if you say the wrong thing she will refuse to talk to you any more. Then you need to play with the conversation choices until she says something that has arabic numerals in it. Once you get it, every time you try to talk to her she will repeat the necessary information so just hit options systematically until the conversation stops then try to talk to her again and see if she'll give you an answer which has an arabic numeral. Print this screen and paste it into Word. The line with the number in it is your clue. Don't worry that it's in Japanese - just think of it as a pattern matching exercise and you should be able to work out the "date" - or perhaps "reference" is a better term.
The bells are in 4f west. You're not quite up to that yet.
Did you get rings from the guy in the basement? If so, how many?
arabic numeral? nothing, btw i didn't manage to get something that looks like a date or reference as i tried what you said already. need to dig more here ...
i didn't get anything from the guy in basement :(

Arabic numerals are the numbers we are familiar with 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc. So if you think you've found the date, you probably have.
With the guy in the basement, was there something on the table he was holding? If there is, you just need to answer his questions correctly to get it. There isn't all that many options to try if you do it systematically.

Unfortunately, the reference is different for everyone. You really do have to get it from her yourself. Will she still talk to you? You may have already found the answer.

I'm pretty sure this is the "it was all a dream" ending. Not the true one. According to lunarX, you have to choose the egg to get the real ending. It interacts differently with the mirror. Can you still play the game after you get back to the first room? Is it reset or can you continue on from where you were?

I think you will understand it when you get there. Unfortunately, most of us here don't understand any japanese at all so we have no idea what's going on with the story and are just playing it as a (rather more challenging) puzzle game. If you could give us a brief summary of what the story is about we would be so grateful.
Also,
which potion did you use on the library book and how did you know how to choose it?
