Re: Nordinho Pub Part 33 1/3 :biggrin: That is a nice way of putting it Ken-Chan ;) And Sasse, I'm not too good at it I'm afraid - I read it easily but the talking is a bit rotten :redface: I've lived in Norway for a year and used to talk that language quite ok, Dansk is quite the same in my opinion - its like a dialect ;) But I haven't spoken Norsk for a while so I'm quite slow in finding the right words :lol: Besides the fact of course that Norsk and Dansk might seem alike, but aren't exactly :silly: |

And yes, they are very much alike norsk and dansk.. Same goes with sweden, only there are some words that is very different.. :) I must admit I don't know a single word in dutch (I don't even know if I spelled it right :icon_lol: Haha) |

Actually, you might be able to read it already ;) To learn Norsk wasn't that hard for me at least, but then again it is even more simular to Frisian (a language talked in the north of the Netherlands and not understood by people from Holland ;)) and I grew up in the north :biggrin: Plus that I lived with a Norwegian family. I was au pair and none of the kids knew English, so I had to talk Norsk with them. Trust me, that is the fastest (and most fun :arms:) way to learn it :cheer: |

But unfortunately that would be quite impossible :) I did'nt know about the Frisian language, never heard of it before. Its funny how a country can have two very different languages.. [EN] - Hva studerer du? [N] - Wat studeer jij? [NL] What is your name? [EN] - Hvordan heter du? [N] - Hoe heet jij? [NL] Ok, does this make it any clearer? :dizzy: I mean, I say I can understand Dansk better as I know Frisian, and then I state that I don't write or talk the language of the part of the country where I grew up in :bonk: ;) It is just that my parents weren't from there, so we didn't talked it at home and it is quite normal that my friends talked Frisian to me and I answered in Dutch. Looking back at it, it isn't logical but back then it never occured to me to go and talk Frisian too :banghead: |

What a laugh :biggrin: - Butter (smør/butter), Brea (brød?/bread?) en (en/a) griene (grøn?/green?) tsies (no idea :D), wa (hvad/what) dat (det/it) net (ikke/not) seze (ser?/see?).. I think I surrender now :biggrin: But the other two sentences in Dutch is actually very similar! If all dutch is like that, I actually think it would be easy for me to learn! Thank you so much for writing sentences for me :biggrin: I sure get the point :) Don't blame yourself for not speaking Frisian that well.. At least you know a bit..
