Re: Nordinho Pub Part 33 1/3 well the problem with so many things we see is the censorship somehow. how much are we allowed to watch? how much is it before it's deemed too violent or too obscene? what warrants a movie rating? :thinking: just too many questions we can never really understand because these are humans making the rules too. so free humans deciding for free humans what's best for them. :dizzy: but i have outdone myself here. :tongue: |

'Cause after all, people can also just turn it off and that way decide their own boundaries. :doubt: But sometimes I do catch myself watching longer than I want to, or well.. somewher I must want to watch longer for why else would I do it? :dizzy: I really like Quentin Tarentino movies, but I can imagine people totally not getting that kind of stuff. Or at least not connecting it with "entertainment". So when I see stuff I don't understand, I'm always hesitant to say "this goes too far" - as others might see something in it that I just miss :doubt: I personally like movies with moral dilemma's in them. Like in collateral: is the cab driver guilty, or forced to act that way due to the conditions he's in. Or both? And how far does his guild go? What would you do? A good movie can keep me thinking like this for weeks :silly: With some other thoughts inbetween of course :whistling :rotfl: |

Re: Nordinho Pub Part 33 1/3 Well, looks like phone boot has got quite a dilemma in it :) I mean, it is totally uterly wrong what the sniper does - but the guy who is in the phonebox shouldn't be lying about most stuff either and it might well be that he doesn't listen to reason at all... So what other measures are allowed then? Definately not this one, but would it have been ok if it would have been just a scare and nobody had died? See, there is a dilemma in every movie :silly: you just have to find it :) |
