I know some photoediting things have "flare" effects. I feel I should put some more effort into my av as opposed to just stealing a pic from the web :lol:

Has anyone put SFX into a movie before?

Scratch that. Where are my mignions? Come to me appretinces!

My avi was made using a preset strip paint pattern on the GIMP which has been stretched diagonally. This happens to make that shape. Then I created a supernova in the corner with a medium-sized raduis and about 20 spokes.
