I read your blog bwshan, I'm sorry to hear about that. I understand exactally what you mean by giving up a pet being like giving up a kid. Some people are just b@#*hs about that kind of thing. Living with a landlord that has that kind of double standard is just wrong.

we really want to move anyway and this gives us a much needed push. they wont fix anything this place is so gross. i will never giver her up ive never had to give up a pet in my life and i dont intend to start now. i want to thank everyone for all the nice things youve all said. everyone is so great. :bghug

I remember what it was like to live out in Cali. Overpriced dumps for apartments and landlords who wouldn't lift a finger to improve the quality of life. God forbid anything serious breaks down because you will be without it for weeks. I hate slumlords!

thats exactly what this is a dump. we have a gross hole in the bathroom from water damage thats growing mold i have 3 work orders in for it but they wont fix it. all they have to do is recaulk the tub and repair the wall but no thats too much effort and i just know they will blame us. we seriously might need a good lawyer anyone know one i can get advice from

No I don't know a lawyer, but you are right to think you should get one. By not completing repairs on your apartment, the building's owners are technically in violation of your lease. Make sure you document when the problem started and get pictures.

i dont know if we can document it seeing as its been a problem for more than a year. is that possible? it was fixed once but they never finished it and never fixed the leak so it just rotted again

hi rose thanks things have to get better

labboy we have no papers they dont give repair reciepts or anything like that. i know just a month ago we had to wait 2 weeks for our air conditioner to be fixed. and it was getting cold i have 3 kids to keep warm. luckily the apartment stayed warm enough

Long story... I was here for a while (since 2004) then i had to leave at the end of 2005 and had to get a new account... then just decided to go back to this one... yeah sorta confusing.. i think i posted the whole story somewhere before.
