I think the coldest place I have ever been was Chicago in the winter... -25 F (about -33 C)

Oooh, yes, Chicago does get quite cold (I have family in that area). I think I'd take Texas summers over Chicago winters any day!

I hated it... it was really bad because I used to smoke when I was there for my basic medical traning, and I had to smoke outside

It is not good to smoke outside:)

In Norway you are not alowed to smoke inside anymore.

I think in a lot of places in the US (like in California, for example), you can't smoke inside either.

I think it is getting more and more commond that you have to smoke outside, no matter which country you are in.

they have passed a law in Missouri that states that a person can not smoke within 100 feet of any hospital now... many of the nurses that work here are not happy

It makes sense, though, especially around a hospital. A lot of people are really sensitive to the smoke, but it'd be nice if they could give people a place to go when it's cold.
