Specifically looking at the practices of worship and the scriptural mandates for worship. It sounds tough....a lot of reading i imagine...but seeing as how much you enjoy it....it seems like you'll enjoy it....! Does that mean you also learn ancient greek/hebrew? Hopefully one day i can discover the story that inspired you....i'm sure its moving.... Oh my Masters is in Biochemistry....nothing quite as philosophical or deep as your field... My PhD will hopefully be in a dynamic research area yet to be determined as i'll have to see whats available....!! |
Re: Nordinho Pub Reloaded Yes... there is a TON of reading, in so many areas, it's daunting! But yes, being inspired does make it easier. Yes, I've already taken Biblical Greek (called Koine or Κοινὴ). LOVED it. Haven't had Hebrew yet, but I will. I'm not shy about telling my story... just don't know if it need to interrupt the pub... maybe I'll post it to my blog! Biochem! Nice! At one point in my life, I thought about studying medicine... (Now, I guess you could say I'm studying a slightly different form of healing! :silly: ) If you like what you're doing and are passionate about it, it is just as important (if not more so) than what I'm doing! You never know what you might discover... or what you might trigger someone else into discovering. ~Ariel |

Re: Nordinho Pub Reloaded lol thanks! but i can tell you this there is this drug Prednisone that I take that is VERY effective but it's a steroid that wreaks havoc on the hunger gland and makes me gain weight like crazy, (luckily I only take it for 5 days, but still) I recently found out that three chinese herbs have the same effect but I haven't been able to find out how to use them... |
Re: Nordinho Pub Reloaded i know someone who deals with such things....the herbs i mean i'll get back to you about that... But yes steroids are awful things....the thing is they are micronised in order to be absorbed by the body and this means they are dissolved into oil or fat droplets....this does wreak havoc on the diet and weight gain is unfortunately a side effect.... Its mainly steroid hormones with which this occurs and oddly enough i am working with such compounds but under a different subject area..... Science is growing with leaps and bounds every day even in our own labs at uni etc. |
