nah, it just that our part-time tech has been out sick and since I never complain about the schedule I usually get stuck filling in

Ouch to that. But like you said the overtime is worth it. Just don't work so much that you get sick. I have done that in the past. Not get enough sleep and then getting sick because of it.

the funny thing about that is it wouldn't matter anyway, I'd still be here. I have come to work running a 100.5 degree fever before. I haven't taken a single sick day in almost 8 1/2 years.:lol:

Well my hats off to you then. I don't take any sick days either but just getting sick is no fun. Our work policy is really good too when it comes to sick days. But then again so is my position. Using sick days seems to be taking advantage of the policy.

My reason for not taking sick days is purely greed driven:lol: The hospital has a policy that states if an employee has more than 30 sick days on the books the employee is paid for any excess sick days at a rate of $50 per excess day. Its an easy $350 extra!:biggrin:
