I am really tired - Clay is home this week as we are redocorating the living room!

It's hard work....just coming to the end of day one!! both shattered!

May not be around much this week, due to the living room being an absolute building site at the moment!! It will look FAB when it's done though!

I know what you mean Lucy, I do home remodeling on the side and it is a bear sometimes. Good luck with that. I hope you took some pictures of what it used to look like and then compare them with the finished product. It always make ya feel better when you see how much you really have done. :cheesy:

Oh Labby, we have so much to do!! Today Clay put up new coving and we have to re-skim the ceiling (it's curently artexed....hate it!!) so we are changing that first. Needs two coats, then has to be sanded and painted...then all the walls need to be stripped and the dado rail needs to be taken down.

The wall paper we have chosen is gorgeous!! It's kind of sly blue for 3 walls and a kind of cocoa brown for the feature wall (where the fire and tv wil go).

The carpet is still down, but that will be coming up and we are putting down Engineered real wood throughout in Chestnut! It's gonna be soooo cool when it's finished!!

It's a big job!! As I am an experience decorator I will be hanging the new wallpaper! Woot!!! I just know that I will be shattered in the next ocuple of days!

Ah well!!

Clay is building a fire place, so we can install a small modern gas fire and we will sink the new flat plasma screen above the fire.

Amen to that Lab. Vacation is great. I just got back from my in-laws, and spent the last afternoon preparing their house for the hurricane/tropical storm Ernesto. I feel bad if they had to do it on their own. It wasn't easy.

Man Phleg must have heard us talking about vacations.

Yes, Lab they live in West Palm. Just north of Miami.

My vacation was to visit them and celebrate his birthday and this was sort of an add on gift. I will now go back in November to take down the shudders. But for what it's worth, the man is a pure gentleman and raise one heck of a daughter. So it wasn't really to much to do when I look at it that way.

Naw, not bad, just REALLY busy. My radio station throwing a huge Blues Fest, and folks are going ape-poop for tickets.:lol9: I'm sore from running around all day.
