ahh okay thanks for that great explanation Opts. I see where I got confused. You guys have 3 terms. We or rather most of America has TWO terms. Aug-dec then jan to june, with a 2 month break for summer.

More and more school districts are changing that though to something similar to yours...year round school. I know in Sacramento, California they have 3 terms with at least 2-3 week breaks in between. IMO that would be much much better...kids would then not forget what they learned over the summer. Though kids may miss out on the "summer things" like swim meets/swim team or little league...I think that could be worked around. My sister tries to keep my older niece active during the summer...writing camp, Bible camp, and I think this year music camp may be added.

Not sure if the 3 year old will be doing stuff like that...what HE needs is a listening camp...*sigh*...he just refuses to LISTEN to anyone. Today he did a little spitting number in the garage here, got yelled at (or rather sternly spoken to)...he stomped off (at least that's an improvement from hitting and screaming...) but that escalated in to massive crying when his mother tried to talk to him... do they EVER grow out of this? I hope he DOES learn to listen soon....

Hi all.... some brunch would be great, it's Saturday 11am here. School holidays - here in New Zealand our children have four school terms of 10 weeks each. Christmas time which is our summer they have 6 weeks off, end of other terms they get two weeks off. You all have a fun weekend and stay safe and happy. :ghug
