heh...why am I not surprised.

In the United States and Canada...the deaf school education....leaves a lot to be desired. I ALMOST went to a school for the deaf but they rejected me (they considered me multihandicapped & mentally retarded...I AM Multidisabled but not MR...). Mom was errr....a wee bit...umm...angry to put it mildly.

To this day she says "Thank you for failing the PSD (deaf school) test!!" I wound up in public school til grade 7 then private Catholic school :yuck: through HS

Although the education is....better...it still needs A LOT of improvement. A LARGE percentage of deaf kids entering Gallaudet University need REMEDIAL English and Math...BASIC stuff. You NEED that studd to get through life (despite students complaining lol)
