The old maid (her name was Flora I believe) was quite taken with the Winter Ripper, and she refused to believe that the young woman's demise was caused by her boarder. Mark had odd habits, though...he seemed to never sleep, he ate only when nobody was looking and insisted on making his own food, he could be heard talking to himself and laughing maniacally in the dead of night, and he always had on a long woolen cloak-even on warm afternoons. The police questioned Flora and Mark both, but Flora insisted that her boarder was at home with her in the parlour during the entire night in question...

EDIT: I gotta go to work now, so we'll resume the story later!!!

Of course Flora knew this was not true, and she began to wonder about Mark and his 'Strange Habits' nonetheless, she stuck by her word and continued to deny he was involved in any crime such as that of the other maid...
However, one day, while she was down in the basement, she heard a creak just audible enough. It made her jumped and turn around. There, standing before her was Mark...
