not so much freinds in a sence as neighbours, or community. i mean, you dont get along with everyone (do you? i know i dont) we have our share of arguments, names and nicknames, this is basically a second metephorical home for us, except we *can* remake ourselfs (though many choose not to)

I think it is an addiction....but also a semi-community we're building here.....in conjunction with our own lives....where we can just kick back and talk about things with people from all over the world....
(you dont meet them in everyday life!)

I agree with Death. I am addicted to Nordinho (though nothing else on the internet), but I think it's because I have made what I would consider some wonderful friends here, from all over the world. I have friends in real life, but everybody is so busy all the time that it is hard to get together often. When I'm home relaxing it is very easy to just turn on the computer and spend some time here. It doesn't mean this is replacing reality for me, it's just a nice supplement to it.

evenstar, I think you hit a bullzeye there, death too has a good point. I don't know, I just feel that the eagerness to get online can sometimes resemble addiction.

I guess there could be much worse things to be addicted to, so you shouldn't feel so bad as long as you don't let it take over your whole life.

*walks in wearily* hey guys... it's been a killer of a day. had to go to a funeral then broke up with my boyfriend over something stupid and he didnt wanna get back together because of other reasons so i was crying for about 4 hours... we're back together now which is good though

I am not going ruin this thread by writing why my summer is been rotten. I wrote some of it in my blog. Lets just say that I am looking forward to the end of august when I fianlly for the first this summer will have some time alone and will be able to refelect on some things. And there will hopefully come some more answers to how bad things are. But I believe better times will come.

oh.. that was a cute photo death.

I am not ready forchildren yet but what my friends do is their buisness of course. It just happens so fast and sudden. I had some friends that became young parents more or less by accident years ago. Now everyone seems to be planning it and planning their life around it. I think there will be many baby visits on me the next years. I like babies. I will probably end up babysitting a lot. :lol:

that is maybe the best company you can have, babies! i like to play with them and establish dialogues, to see where their understanding leads us; this with 2.5-3 year olds is amazing; with 11 year olds is somewhat like adults...
