sparky is watching election results in the Netherlands.

It sounds as though, in addition to her travels, she lived in 4 different countries, probably in two different hemispheres. Was her birthplace in Europe? Was the occupation that made her famous related to education?

Nope, not born in Europe, and 4 is only the ones I mentioned here, but the rest is correct

The question was "Was she Indian? (Asian, not American)". Am I correct to assume that she was Asian? Born in south east asia? If yes: Is she Burmese? Malaysian? Sri Lankan?

Did she become famous because of a position she had with an international organization?

I wouldn't have the faintest idea where to find a list of those , but Anna Leonowens is the correct answer

In addition to travelling to Egypt, Palestine, Russia and several other European countries, she lived in India, Yemen, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Siam, England, the United States and Canada - and that's just the places wiki knows about
Spoiler:
And to my surprise, she wasn't portrayed by Julie Andrews in the film. She only dubbed the songs for a later soundtrack recording

that was a really good challenge helman- i used a lot of time looking for a musical feminist in asia

sometimes people really have to suffer for their way of life, this character and a sister left home at an early age and after a period of institutions and foster homes ended up at university and built the foundation for work that was performed in diverse countries around the world. various themes are portrayed in this work, including; death, life and violence and where nature and the earth provide a significant backdrop to some themes and are an integral part of other works. a tragic accident cut short this artist's life: despite a trial and much speculation, the exact cause of death has never been established and they are still dead.
