Not the Future I found this riddle on reddit, it has a quite interesting atmosphere compared to the usual riddle and it has some reoccuring themes such as war and human primates
The creator made it because he thought that riddles like Notpron were too hard.

I'm not terribly impressed, but to be fair, that may also (mainly?) be due to the quality of the recording .
I never understood why he was considered so great... maybe it has something to do with the right way of singing that kind of music... I don't know. But the quality of that recording is just horrible! I never liked him, but he sounded much better than that.

It doesn't really look like him (no moustache?) and I think he was to old (born 1818, not middle of the century), but that's a sad story ("...His ideas were rejected by the medical community ..... Some doctors, for instance, were offended at the suggestion that they should wash their hands; they felt that their social status as gentlemen was inconsistent with the idea that their hands could be unclean"). Very frustrating!
