If it was a minor thing like 'do you like my new pants' then yes cos it's better than hurting their feelings, truth should always be told with love.
But if it was something big then I would either keep quiet (depending on what it was) or tell the truth. A true friendship can take it. Again though it should be told with love.
No.....I haven't done it and I think I won't do that in the future...
