Cool, late night trivia, thanks.

Games:

Although this game was introduced in the middle to late 70's it really became in full force in the 80's with the release of the Expert set in 1981 and an expanded basic set in 1983, making it the most popular role-playing game in history. Name it.

What's the name of the Scottish Pop group that took it's name from a Steely Dan song, whose lyrics seem to reflect the group's early outlook? They formed in 1985 and were popular in the UK during the late 80's.

This one is giving me a headache. I have, after all day searching (okay, maybe not all day), one guess: Love and Money?

No... that's not right.

Were they very popular because I'm finding squat on these people!!

Re: 80's TRIVIA CHALLENGE

And they're name is that of a Steely Dan song?

I'm just not finding any associations with that and when I look at bands formed in '85 nothing relates!

WHAT AM I MISSING????? :banghead:

Def Leppard was the band and the accident happened on New Year's Eve in 1984.

Re: 80's TRIVIA CHALLENGE

I found some conflict with the dates. It could be 5th or 6th of April, 1989. The team he faced was the Reds and Barry Larkin scored on an RBI from Benzinger. Would that suffice?

bigsack4403 01-19-2007 11:23 AM

Re: 80's TRIVIA CHALLENGE

That answer works. I also would've accepted the Mets and Gregg Jefferies on Oct. 4th, 1988 during Game 1 of the '88 NLCS. Nice work though speed. One was the regular season record and the other was just consecutive. But that date I know for your answer was the 5th.
