Re: 80's TRIVIA CHALLENGE That would it them. Good job, Hels. :) |
Re: 80's TRIVIA CHALLENGE Politics Other than on ceremonial visits, none of the Kennedy's made it to the White House in the 80's. But which vicepresident was definitely no Jack Kennedy? |
Re: 80's TRIVIA CHALLENGE Not that I understand the question or anything; I'm just going to muster up a guess and say George H. W. Bush. |
Re: 80's TRIVIA CHALLENGE I do understand that answer  but it is not what I was looking for... |
Re: 80's TRIVIA CHALLENGE Ok, I really had no idea what you were talking about with that question, Hels, but when I searched for "Jack Kennedy" I actually found something. :lol9: Would you be referring to Dan Quayle? As I found that "Senator, you're no Jack Kennedy" was a famous phrase spoken by American Democratic vice-presidential candidate Senator Lloyd Bentsen to Republican vice-presidential candidate Senator Dan Quayle during the 1988 vice-presidential debate. Taken from wiki. :) |
Re: 80's TRIVIA CHALLENGE You don't remember that :)? Spoiler: But then of course, Dan Quayle is one of my favourite examples of politics in America...... Spoiler: Anyway, your answer is correct, so you're up :jossun:! |
Re: 80's TRIVIA CHALLENGE Well considering I was 8 during that presidential election, I didn't really have any idea what was going on nor did I have any interest in politics. :rotfl: I barely remember anything that happened when I was 8, let alone about the vice presidential debates. :winky: Anyway, let's try this: Television Which popular game show host's first television appearance was as one of the first contestants called on a 1980 episode of the Price is Right? And when did he/she begin their role in the one they still hold today? :) |
Re: 80's TRIVIA CHALLENGE I'd say Vanna White but she isn't really the host of the game show. She became, however, the "letter-turning assistant" to Pat Sajak in Wheel Of Fortune on Dec. 13, 1982. |
Re: 80's TRIVIA CHALLENGE Thats who I was looking for! Well she's an assistant host, anyway. LOL I couldn't very well say "letter-turning assistant." :rotfl: Like that wouldn't have given it away. Anyway, you are correct! :arms: Very well done! |
Re: 80's TRIVIA CHALLENGE :lol9: I guess not. Television What was the name of the character on the Fat Albert show who always wore the hat part way down his face? (And just for the record although this show initially started running in the '70s it did carry over into the '80s.) |
