Re: Pictionary Sorry to disappoint you both, not Animal Farm, not even close. Napoleon is correct of course, but I chose this particular picture of him for the reason Hel has mentioned, and also the road is important. |
Re: Pictionary Conn Iggulden has a whole series of Emperor books, but none that match this pic, as far as I can see. Yellow roads keep bringing you back to Oz, I don't think that's right either. Emperor roads or fields: no luck.... |
Re: Pictionary The yellow road also brings you somewhere else  think capital. |
Re: Pictionary I thought I read somewhere that Yellow Road was another name for the Silk Road, so that could be Beijing and the Chinese emperors then. Can't find that anymore though...:). |
Re: Pictionary You're drifting away, yellow BRICK road leads you to Oz, yes, but that's a land, I'm looking for the capital. And don't take ''emperor'' to literal. If I say any more I might as well give you the booktitle. |

[edit]I think it's Imperial Life in the Emerald City: Inside Baghdad's Green Zone, by Rajiv Chandrasekaran Never knew Oz had a capital... ;) |
Re: Pictionary OK, I should have said IT'S capital, but that would have made things even more obvious. Guess you're not a Wizzard fan  Anyway, seems you didn't need any more hints, you got it and your next.:) |
Re: Pictionary Never read it, not sure I've ever seen the whole movie....;) Historic event Spoiler: |
Re: Pictionary The only thing I can say with certainty is that the man sitting is Eric Clapton. Can't even tell what country it is he's sitting on, looks like Greenland (not by colour but by shape). A lot of water and Eric performed at the Tsunami Relief Cardiff on January 22nd 2005, but I don't see a clue to the redhaired man and the bay. Of course the ''bye bye daddy'' bit brings to mind the tragic loss of his son, but it looks a bit cruel to portray it in this way. Edit: I see now that it's not Greenland, but the Far East, China, Birma, Vietnam, Cambodja, Thailand What are those things lying on the beach? Rocks or seals? Guess the ol'eyes aren't what they use to be :dizzy: |
Re: Pictionary No, not rocks or seals, but I admit they've lost a bit of definition in downsizing the image :). I have changed it slightly now. Oh, and the ol' (blue?) eyes weren't that bad..... |
