The creator made it because he thought that riddles like Notpron were too hard.

I think it is a (black) panther, but I can't find a song about a psychadelic panther The only title with panther in the title that might make sense is Crystal Castels - Black Panther, as crystal can have all colours in it It plays with the light No castles in the pictionary though, so I highly doubt it
It could of course be a song from Mowgli - Bagheera is a black panther Can't find any on the soundtrack with just Bagheera and I can't remember it myself from the movie either

"Neon Tiger" sounds about right, except perhaps the fact that that one is running "under the heat of the southwest sun" and not in the jungle. Can't find anything better for lions or leopards either though.
