Re: Pictionary Is it "Out of Africa" by Isak Dinesen (the pseudonym of Danish Baroness Karen von Blixen-Finecke), first published in 1937? (I tend to doubt it, :doubt: because I'm not sure if changing the arrow color has anything to do with this one, either. Nor am I aware of a related TV series.) |
Re: Pictionary Ngggghh I've got a very strong feeling of knowing what it is, but I just can't seem to output the right key words in Google search! Something to do with the "Axis of Evil"? |
Re: Pictionary There's a book called "Swimming up the Tigris", but probably not very well-known, not even talking about a TV series .... Edit: it could be "Gilgamesh" by Stephen Mitchell ? |

Couldn't it just be "Out of Babylon" ? |
Re: Pictionary Quote:
It's not "Out of Babylon" though ;). |
Re: Pictionary "East of Eden"? "Into the West"? (grasping at straws, here!) :lol9: |
Re: Pictionary You'll have to make choice there.... can't go in two directions at once :)! |
Re: Pictionary Does that mean one of them is right? :lol9: Eenie, meenie . . . I'm going with "East of Eden"? (that was my favorite choice.) |
Re: Pictionary So we finally get there :)! I would have thought it would be easier, with 'east' quite obvious to me and perhaps a little bit of thinking needed to realize that the area of the Euphrates and the Tigris is commonly the place where Eden is thought to be situated.... but I guess it wasn't that clear  Your turn next :jossun: |
Re: Pictionary That arrow wasn't going north then ? :wall: |

Re: Pictionary :arms: Yay! *still amazed at lucking into that one* Okay, here's one - I admit I didn't "draw" much here, I'm more of a collage artist type. Now don't laugh! :lol9: Movie Title Spoiler: |
Re: Pictionary Wet Hot American Summer ? |
Re: Pictionary :umno:(Is that for real?) :rotfl: |
Re: Pictionary Well that's the first thing I've seen in google  |
Re: Pictionary Wow, are you sure it's suitable for the PG-13 standards of Nord? (maybe something they keep in the "over-18 room" at the video rental place?) :lol9: *goes to look it up - "heh heh," er, umm* |
Re: Pictionary Let's bury this into the depth of the thread quickly then :rotfl: |
Re: Pictionary Some like it hot? |
Re: Pictionary :arms: TCO, you got it! :winnerthu (That's what you get for peeking in here! Too clever for your own good by at least half!) :silly: Now, get to work on your drawing! |
Re: Pictionary That reply was a bit belated, what? Here's mine: http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x...iddle/pict.jpg |
Re: Pictionary police academy ? |
Re: Pictionary Not police academy, but it is comedy related. |
Re: Pictionary Quote:
Where did you get that crab ? I'm pretty sure I saw it recently  BTW TCO, is yours a movie as well? In which case, could it be "Busted"? edit: well, that one, described by one viewer as "like 'Police Academy' if it were made by mongoloids" is in fact rated R , so maybe it isn't what you were looking for.... |
Re: Pictionary 2 Attachment(s) Darn - I thought maybe that "summer" movie was something good & juicy! :lol8: Yeah, TCO, is it a movie? If so, I'll throw out a guess of "Undercover Cop" (though I don't think it's right) - just to pursue the notion that you may be doing one of those "dingbat" things like Aventura did. Oh, and Helanren - since you ask (giving out my secrets, here!) :lol9: The crab is from this, which I found on Photobucket. You'll see I used almost all of it. Spoiler: |
Re: Pictionary No, it's not a movie. It's a group, but not a music group. |
Re: Pictionary Is it The Police? |
Re: Pictionary No, it is not 'the Police'. |
Re: Pictionary I think it must be the Keystone Cops (with thanks to Dan Brown and the Da Vinci Code for teaching me the meaning of the word 'keystone' :)) |
Re: Pictionary It is indeed, Helanren. Over to you... |
Re: Pictionary Another book by a well known author (if this one again turns out to be harder than I thought, I have a second version with a clue about the author, but let's see how it goes without that first :)) Booktitle Spoiler: |
Re: Pictionary Helanren, you've certainly upped the bar for artwork, there - Animation! Love it!! Could it be "Setting Free the Bears", by John Irving? (I almost hope I'm wrong, interested to see your author clue, too!) :lol9: |
Re: Pictionary Guess my "alter ego of the author" in the picture wasn't needed after all , but since you ask: Spoiler: Over to you :jossun:! |
Re: Pictionary :lol9: I think the author clue might have confused me more - I just got lucky with the search as far as the title goes, haven't read much Irving. Is that a wrestler? (Man, I love those bears!!) :rotfl: Well, anyway, here's the next clue - MOVIE TITLE Spoiler: |
Re: Pictionary Quote:
Your picture reminds me of an anecdote I heard about Field Marshal Bernard Montgomery: apparently, when he was a kid, his mother would send out one of the others after him, saying "go see what Bernie is doing and tell him to stop it". Though whether that is a true anecdote and really about Monty I do not know, it seems something a lot of mothers could say...:). Now to go and find an answer..... edit: Not so easy.... :) First, I though that that was Hugh Grant, but the only title I can come up with for him is - "Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason", and that's not really that close to the picture (besides, on second thought, it probably isn't Hugh Grant anyway...). Then, I looked for the mother/son theme, opens up lots of possibilities: - Mother and Son (1997) - Conversations with Mother (2004) - Surviving My Mother (2007) - What My Mother Told Me (1995) but those are really not that well known, so I don't think one of them is what you meant... Finally, I decided it was his wife/girlfriend which led me to - "Emily's Reasons Why Not" (2006) - "10 Great Reasons" (2008) (no, that's TV) - Reason Over Passion (1969) but somehow I still don't think any of them is right, so I'll have to pass for the moment :)! |
Re: Pictionary :lol9: No, it's not Hugh Grant, just some poor fellow I picked on because I loved his expression! I can see now that I should probably have made the guy a little more the same size or age as the woman, or maybe her a little younger . . .? Actually the number of reasons does figure in the answer - good for you for counting! :winky: |
Re: Pictionary Is it 10 things I hate about you? |
Re: Pictionary :arms: It certainly is! :winnerthu (I knew I shouldn't have given such a big hint - but I thought it was kinda obvious to start with, anyway, at least to us "girlies"!) :flirt: You're up, Ms. crocodillan! (And might I add, what lovely lips you have there!) :lol9: |
Re: Pictionary better to kiss.....someone with anyway haha. anyway, it's a thing: Spoiler: |
Re: Pictionary My, he's a beefy one! :lol9: And with that thought - venturing a guess - is it a "carrot juicer"? (well, or just a "vegetable juicer"?) Spoiler: If so, good one, croc!! :rotfl: |
Re: Pictionary no it is not a juicer or vegetable juicer....hehe. um, think of this one as a combination of two words maybe. it's a thing, but it's an actual product.... |
