Thank you Scouser, after you said ''60's and band still going strong'' it was easy.

 I thought I remembered judges put on a red robe when pronouncing a death sentence, but it turns out that every High Court Judge wears red (come to think of it, John Deed wears one in every episode !) though they used to put on a black cap for a sentence of death.

Still, Sentenced To Death by Lex Talionis could be a place to start...;)

Re: Pictionary

First thing that sprang to my mind was "Guilty" - which I've always heard done by Bonnie Raitt - it was written by Randy Newman, I think.

But I see there are other songs called "Guilty" or with the word in the title, so not betting on my guess. :)

Re: Pictionary

Another judge try: No Apologies by Judge

and an even better guess (if it isn't correct, it should be :rotfl:!)
Sentenced: You Are the One :).

Re: Pictionary

Sorry Helanren but Rbud got it right.
Although I was aiming for the one performed by Barbra Streisand and Barry Gibb. But, as I didn't ask for neither the singer nor writer and there are indeed several songs with the title ''Guilty'' I think Rbud deserves the credit.
Congratulations Rbud :arms: you're up.

Not really the same song at all - too bad I can't find Bonnie's rendition to post, but I guess a lot of her stuff's been yanked like so many others that were on my favorites list. :doubt:

The song has had a lot of meaning over the years to Hubby and I.

If you'd like to hear it, here it is by the author - he performed it with the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra in 1979, apparently. But I'll post this little clue I've had around for a while, not much to it, but it's a

Book title

I see the Cowardly Lion of Oz, either being deputized as a sheriff in the Red Army, or receiving some kind of medal (presumably just before or after receiving that other medal, the one for Courage !)
Spoiler:

Just haven't found a book to go with it though....

You're on the right track,
Spoiler:
you have two big C words in your post - one of them is in the title - and the color is right, too!
