I see a desert and a makeshift school lesson about old typwriter keys ! there are hundreds of books with lessons in the desert so I guess I will have to narrow my search.

Nope ;). As you said before, it's a good idea to narrow down some of the things you identified in the picture, be more specific in your search terms....

a) you've missed one other clue in the image
b) it's not just any desert...
