Not the Future I found this riddle on reddit, it has a quite interesting atmosphere compared to the usual riddle and it has some reoccuring themes such as war and human primates
The creator made it because he thought that riddles like Notpron were too hard.

Yes, you tend to overlook some threads if there are no new posts for a while...
I think that in fact, if you 'double' post after two days or so to keep the thread alive, it's considered OK, but what I tend to do in that case is first double post, then delete the second post (as a supporting member and up, you can do that ) but add the text in stead as an edit to the first post. That way, a new post has been added and will alert people subscribing to the thread (and may appear in the list on the home page, I'm not sure), but at the same time I do not offend against the double post rule
As far as the last pictionary is concerned, I see the South Platte Reservoir, dogs and that's about it.... so how about Reservoir Dogs?
That's exactly right, Helanren, so you're the next victim - errr, I mean player!
Spoiler:
(how'd you know which reservoir that was? I kind of thought the concept of "reservoir" might slow down the non-English speakers, maybe they'd get stuck at "lake" or something like that...though I guess the word itself sounds more French, hmmm...)
And good advice regarding the double posting, I agree.

I wouldn't have known it was a reservoir !! I was looking at it as Lake.
Well done Helanren..........

Actually the word reservoir has the same meaning in Dutch, don't forget we have been under the influence of France for a long time (Napoleons brother Louis Bonaparte was at one time King of Holland) and so adopted many words from the French language.

I could of course dazzle you with my answer that, for someone as well traveled as I am, it was obvious, but I'm afraid you wouldn't immediately believe me ?
Spoiler:
You would be right of course. What I really did was looking for movies with "dog(s)" and/or "pond" in the title, I didn't think of the word "reservoir" either. But obviously, when I found Reservoir Dogs, I figured that would work. Just for fun, or maybe to see if I could find something to 'illustrate' my post (you did of course notice how I phrased that sentence so that the title was already in it ?), I googled "reservoir" and found an picture similar to yours on the first page
Napoleon Brandy, St Remy !!! Can't find a film conection yet, still searching................There is an old movie Million Dollar Weekend, where Napolean Brandy is a bit of a featcher
There is The "Napoleon Brandy" Titles, but thats 3 movies.
Is it Napoleon Brandy??
I thought it was wine and I thought I saw British Military men on the lable, had to zoom to 150% and still it's very dark, but in the upper right corner isn't that the British flag (or English flag - don't want to have that discussion again)?
More like +2.5 glasses
Still.....brandy or wine, French or British....it doesn't ring any bells with me.
And ''10 years old'' could mean it's just old or from the year 1999.
If it is indeed Wellington, then he defeated Napoleon at Waterloo, which brings us back to Napoleon (brandy).

Nope, it's not specifically Cognac Napoleon (I just like that kind of bottle, and of course what's in it) and yes, the flag is British but that's not really important either (in fact, the soldiers on it are from the Royal Welch Fusiliers ). It's more general than that.
