Look up the building, you'll find the clue.

angelstar is yaaaay!

Its i'll leave it up to you, don't have the time to google or make a new one, and i could b well mistaken but since you described l'arc de triomphe, it reminded me of Joan of Arc (or Jeanne d' Arc) Could she have anything to do with the song neija? I know she is in some songs but no idea if the bands name has anything to do with Japan
hmmm and come to think of it, the period is probably not correct at all either so if i said something stupid again, just ignore me please

The maid of Orleans? She is not really from that time, the arch was build after the Napoleontic wars... 19th century again

I was more thinking about neoclassical - but that is more a genre within music than a band name, even less a movie name

I think I've read quite a google pages of songs with dream/dreaming in the title - no band that rings a bell yet ...

I can just imagine Neija sitting there behind here computer wondering why on earth we are overlooking the most obvious answer ever Trust me girl, it's not on purpose

Neoclassical is right, just narrow it down a bit.
Guess the BIG Arc de Triomphe might be considered more from the Romanticism period. (even though the building started in the period/style I'm looking for)
But there's more then one.
Even on wiki's Neoclassical page you find the word I'm looking for.

Mmmm. Started to think about "Les Miserables - I dreamed a dream". But then again, no Eastern connection there.

Not baroque, not rococo, not French revolution, not classical, not Napoleonic, not Louis XVI , not New Age, not renaissance, not romanticism, definitely not art deco

I looked at the list of triumphal arches, but not sure what to find there. I think I should just lay this aside and wait for that one spark of brilliance. See you in a year Neija

Scouser, I wouldn't have a clue, don't think so, just an image I found online.

Well it is neoclassical, you got that right, just a more specific term for the last half of it. (it is on the wiki page)
Oh and it's the second one in Paris, nearby a VERY large Parisian building.

Think I should have went for my other piccie

Yay!!!!!

Finally!

To explain my thoughts.

So the woman is dressed in Empire style clothing, the dream was quite obvious and then the chinese flag at first did refer to the 'wicked' video like SF said. Changed it to Japanse flag cos of the movie "Empire of the sun" and cos Japan is more know as thz country where the sun rises.

I did make a first draft but that got guessed straight away with test audiance so decided to make it harder. Perhaps a bit to much
But sure with this image people would have guessed within minutes.

Spoiler:

This song makes me get a smile on my face though

Well, this one was very logic too Neija - I am sure I would get stuck on your first painting just as easily. Starting to think about Midday and tower and stuff

Ok, here's my pictionary. Do I need to say it's a song?

Spoiler:
