Re: Pictionary

:doubt: How about
Kitaro - Lady of Dreams
Though it's rather anime than "a movie" ;) Ow, and it's not a band... Hmm... Lets search on :)

I know there's a punk band called "Big in Japan", though that phrase is better known as a song by Alphaville (and even Tom Waits made a song with that title). But I think I'm getting too hang up on "Japan" now :dizzy:

Lets go on a stray here: Strange kind of women - Deep Purple. :cheesy: Hey, it was on the album "Made in Japan". :silly:

Ow, and maybe X-Japan - Vanishing Vision. But again: no movie called X-Japan. So I really do not think it is any of the above.

Nope, tried to focus on something Scouser said.

Re: Pictionary

I'm going round in circles... I know I can get it (he says with blind optimism) just need something to click in my brain.

Do brains click - wouldn't that be bad? Hmmmm

Re: Pictionary

Something Scouser said  Now would that be the dress of the Lady ("period costume")?

As there's a movie with the same name as the band I wanted to go for Pride and Prejudice or something like that, but I do not think that's very "easternly" ;) Than I figured I should just recognize the lady herself - she looks quite familiar :doubt:  Josephine maybe? But that band has no songs relating to Japan :dizzy:

I tried the List of costume drama films but I drowned a bit there :lol9:

Just to be complete, did we already try
the Cure - a Japanese dream? Nah... no eastern feeling to the cure...

We probably way overthink it

Re: Pictionary

Yep, that would be the period she lived in. But it's only the first part of the bands name.
I could have drawn a famous building instead of her as well.

Movie isn't romantic at all. It's about a historic event that happened.

Oh and keep the dream ;)

Re: Pictionary

:doubt: Well, might be a guillotine involved? :) But that isn't really eastern, is it :bonk:

It's late now - will try my brain tomorrow  Thank you for the additional hints Neija :arms:

Edit Nope, not today either :bonk: Please stay patient Neija, we'll get it eventually ;)

Re: Pictionary

We'll get this if it kills us....

Then we will come round to yours and poke you with sticks hahaha
(like I can talk :P)
We have to have enough clues, it should be easy.

Re: Pictionary

Yeah, well - so ... anybody who has an idea on the girl "could be a building"?! I am a bit stuck in thinking the building should be Arc the Triomphe which has no reason at all for why on earth would that girl be French :dizzy:

Victorian maybe? Pretty sure the dress is 19th century...

neija 04-14-2009 11:17 AM

Re: Pictionary

SF, you have probably no idea how close you're now.
It's not that building, but same period as the lady.

Just google that word and the dream you've already found, first two hits are correct ;)
Think I've said enough now

Re: Pictionary

 Victoria Beckham - in your dreams ?!? That can not be right, nothing Easterly about that :dizzy: I must still be doing something wrong :lol9:

Maybe google in the Netherlands is shutting out this song Neija :cheesy: I am sure it is out to sabotage me :rotfl:

So anybody who does think to have found it - please do not hold it back as I have figured quite some things out, I obviously am blind for the final step :banghead:
