Hel, you are correct :)
Yes, it's a poo drawing I admit, quickly done so I had one in reserve ;)
No, though I can put away a fair amount, I recognise the stomach pump potential of the drinking game

Angel, it was only a cheap gag about the festival, I know you'd never screen this film :hug3 and I do like Richard E Grant he's one of the finest swearers this country (or Swaziland) has ever produced

Over to you again Helanren :)

I lived in Swaziland for about a year and never heard of Grant, maybe they have disowned him ?

Here's another historic event for you:

bonuspoints for identifying the origin of the character on the left ;)!

Re: Pictionary

The character looks like a Roman soldier, but guess that won't be it.

As for the rest, somehow makes me think of the Red Sea, perhaps even Suez Canal (as a bridge between the Red Sea and Mediterranean Sea) , don't know what the dice should stand for.

Re: Pictionary

My first guess was Mozes who is dividing the sea in two (sorry don't know the exact word) so he can walk through it, but don't know what the dice has to do with that, so i'm guessing no and the historic value of that i'm not sure either :rotfl: . Unless the little guy isn't mozes, but indeed a roman soldier'(which he does look like) and it has something to do with Caesar's words of alea iacta est ( think that's the only piece of latin i actually stil remember)but that as far as i'll go, someone else can take it from there

Mean enough to pass the 13-minute-test, I see, but only just ! You're both almost there already, though Angel is somewhat ahead ...

Re: Pictionary

well i know what it is (i'm pretty sure for a change) but i don't feel like making the next one (yet- i will start to think about one and who knows one day , so i'll gladly pass this one to neija :)

Re: Pictionary

Hahaha, as if I'll guess!
I haven't a spare one anymore as well, I started making one but my drawing skills let me down

But damn!!
Should have made the link with the dice and Caesar when I thought of Roman soldiers.
Still don't know what it could be.
Caesar did lead his army across the Rubicon when he said alea iacta est, so perhaps that's why the river is red.
Start of the Great Roman Civil War.

Re: Pictionary

I somehow think this historic event was featured in Asterix & Obelix (though this Roman isn't by Uderzo ;) ). Could be mistaken and just have a picture of Romans dicing in my head :silly:
And that character... some sort of high Roman military man I imagine  :silly:

Well... they build quite some bridges in their time. And aquaducts. And there is a whole village at Xanten, that's near a river... I bet there are a lot more like that though  Is the river meant to be "the Red Sea" or some sort of river of blood?! :doubt: Maybe the dice is to show the whole expedition was quite a (lucky) gamble?

Ok, wild guess here:
One of the (3) Punic Wars?!

Edit Why are you so sure it's Ceasar Neija?

Re: Pictionary

I'm not sure at all, just going on with Angels guess and Helanren saying she was closer
Doesn't have to be him, just a soldier of his army.

Re: Pictionary

Ah, got it. Missed the "alea iacta est" part ;) Had to look that one up :silly: Seems like a pretty solid guess to me

Appart from the fact that I never imagined Caesar that corpulent... or with such a plume on his head  But indeed, it can be one of his commanders ;)
