Re: Pictionary

For a moment there, I thought you were doing what I have been accused of sometimes in this thread: hinting but not yet admitting that you already know the answer ! You have identified all the clues, with the possible exception of one, not unimportant, detail.....

Your answers suggest though that you are still looking in the wrong direction; for one thing, they have something in common (in addition to the word Pierrot) that my song doesn't.

Re: Pictionary

I've been going down the removal of the costume route but so far no luck. Nearest is Shakira – Costume Makes the Clown but I don't think it's that at all.

Pierrot is associated with the moon/sadness/naivety - Pierrot Lunaire (Moonstruck Pierrot) & Au Clair de la Lune. I read he lost his lover (Columbine) to Harelquin but I feel this is going down the wrong road, just thinking out loud, well, typing.
He is also an annoying image from the 80's when sentimental girls had all manner of Pierrot 'brand' things :P

I have identified most clues??

Honestly, I have no idea at all, just pure luck, now only need to figure out what I said right :rotfl:

Brainwave!

Is it Visage "Night Train" ?

To explain, night>durr, looks like a train door and Visage always had painted faces in a similar clownish fashion.

Yes, you have...! Actually, Jimbo even went one better, though it seems he is straying again now...:rotfl:

Hmmm....so I guess it's about removing the clothes then?

For some reason it makes me think of the saying of Jimi Hendrix ''I don't want to be a clown anymore. I don't want to be a rock & roll star."

I had a look at his discography.
Perhaps his "Burning of the Midnight Lamp" could be it.

Oh dear, I had thought of "Chocolat" ever since I found out about the bean, but was too shy to post my thoughts

This won't happen again! So... the new picture immediately reminds me of a song we learned in the French lessons:

Au clair de la lune

Are you mean enough to post (more than semi-) intellectual clues in other languages? Well, I think you are

I'm gonna stick my bottom lip out if it's that, I mentioned it 2 days ago

Re: Pictionary

Hahaha, I want to see you doing that :rotfl:

Well, it just has to be it, all the elements of the picture are in the song...

Spoiler:
English Translation:

In the light of the moon, Pierrot, my friend
Loan me your pen to write something down
My candle's dead, I've got no flame to light it
Open your door, for the love of God!

In the light of the moon, Pierrot replied
I don't have a pen, I'm in bed
Go to the neighbor's, I think she's there
Because someone just lit a match in the kitchen

In the light of the moon, likable Harlequin
Knocked on the brunette's door, and she responded immediately
Who's knocking like that? And he replied
Open your door, for the God of Love!

In the light of the moon, you can barely see anything
Someone looked for a pen, someone looked for a flame
In all of that looking, I don't know what was found
But I do know that those two shut the door behind them.

Apologies if I stole your idea, Jimbo but I honestly haven't read your entry before I posted mine :)

Oh my, I'd better think of something now...

Re: Pictionary

Oh Avent, I don't accuse.

I didn't look up the lyrics ;) Though I was sure it was/is something to do with shedding the costume, I didn't find anything that satisfied the candle at the door, other than crowbarring in Night Train :P

If you're right, you'll get a bottom lip picture
