Ok, working on it ;). In the mean time, for partial bonus show off credits, enjoy this page....

[edit]
And here it is: a quick 'paintjob' for another

song

Re: Pictionary

Looks like you're trying to set that horse on fire!

Thus, first thought:
Fire Horses (Lapko), but I think the lyrics are a bit too obscure ...

It could of course be "(black) beauty" instead of horse... What about
Beauty on the Fire (Natalie Imbruglia)

Or, of course, going with burning (as we see no flames yet) Nickelback - Burn it to the ground, from the DARK HORSE album.

:rotfl: As you see, I'm undecided ;) I actually think it is none of the above, but they all make sense in some way :lol9:

Re: Pictionary

I definitly know the horse's name, as does SF but I'm thinking measurement and taking the magnifying glass as a close up tool, not a burning tool!

Re: Pictionary

:lol9: I really don't know what to say - it never occured to me that it could be used that way :wall: :crazy1:

Any how, if I try to turn the clue that way - I can't think of any song :doubt: Or it should be that we have to focus on the neck of a beauty ... Or wait - what about sleeping beauty? Given the girl is in her night gowns!

Jimmy Dean - to a Sleeping Beauty
It got one line with "neck" in the lyrics - don't think that is enough to explain the pictionary though

No, I think I'll stick to the burn...

Re: Pictionary

Well, after such a promising start and with all parts of the answer already mentioned in the first hour or so, I thought we would have a quick solution, but alas, those parts have not yet been combined to give the full answer..:).

Additional tip
Spoiler:
maybe focus on the band's name first and get the song from there, that will be easier than the other way round ;)

Re: Pictionary

I am even more lost now than I was before :lol9: I am still looking, just none of the things I find make remotely sense ;)

Ow well... let's see. I found out there's no band called Black Beauty. None that is called Burned Beauty either, I think somebody missed out on a nice band name there

There is however a band called "Horse the band", with a song called Octopus on Fire. :doubt:  Can't be it ...

Searching on ;)

Edit (Monday): I stumbled upon this one: Die Krupps - Black Beauty, white Heat. I think that could fit, if not for the band's name... I don't think it means anything, not even in German (just a family name).

Re: Pictionary

Well, we're getting closer (more or less :))...

Another hint perhaps?
Spoiler:
Neither the "burning" nor the "close up" function of the magnifier are important by themselves.

Spoiler:
However, particularly if you speak Dutch, German, Norwegian, Swedish, or even Polish I think, it helps to think of that burning function....(well, I suppose it could help as well if you speak English, French, Spanish, Portuguese etc., but only if you are etymologically knowledgeable...) ;).

Re: Pictionary

Ow hjelp, I know Dutch and Norwegian, quite a bit German and Swedish... and I'm still stumped :lol9: Now I feel even more like I am overlooking something :rotfl:

Ow well, searching on :)

Edit Completely ignoring your hints, what aboutTherion - The beauty in Black. Unfortunatly, Therion means beast and has nothing to do with burning - unless you want to connect it to devil and hell fire :doubt: There is also Coronatis - Beauty in Black; again, form Germany :)

Message to Hel,
While I think you are a fine man and am well aware of your military links, I really, really do feel like giving you a slap! hahaha
Lots of love,
Jimbo

:silly:

Burn, temperature, those marks... Three Degrees? Seems way too simplistic and a quick search didn't turn anything up.

We're regressing, the previous song title was closer... :)

Now what did I do to deserve that..???

Let's see: one hour and 2 minutes after posting the image, SF has (without realizing it, I admit ;))mentioned both the name of the band and the songtitle already; you've mentioned the song indirectly. Since then, the band has been mentioned in the thread once again
Spoiler:
hint: think 1970's
and the song at least twice (more if you count the 'distorted' forms).

So it seems it should not be that difficult to give the answer in full, if you concentrate on the whole point of the image....
