Re: Pictionary Well I'm sorry Avent, this isn't a normal one  SF: Good work already but close to the film title? the ship is specific but probably not for the reasons you think... The first image is obvious, you got that. There are no clues based on characters in the film or the storyline. |
Re: Pictionary Ok, lets twist the mind again. I probably go way too far now, but what if... Spoiler: Nah. Lets take the obvious Bee Movie Of course, it could also be about a Spelling Bee .... - |
Re: Pictionary Wow, SF, that is farfetched :P The bee is simply A Bee. The bloke is representing a question. The ship's title is the end. |
Re: Pictionary I'm one hundred procent sure that ship is the Lusitania  No movies with that name though, so I think it's a "sounds like" Which brings us a lot, from Louisiana to Lucy something... Ok, maybe not so much :silly: Geez  I'm really lost here - I'm sure I'm gonna go "ofcourse!" when you say the answer  But right now I'm stuck at "The Bee Gees" and I'm pretty sure that ain't right :lol9: Spoiler: |
Re: Pictionary Yes, the ship is the Lusitania but it's not that bit that is needed ;) There are no sound-alike clues in this one :) Come on guys (well SF :biggrin) do I really need to spell it out? |
Re: Pictionary That would be wonderful, but that would also be defeat and I'd never admit to that :silly: So... Is it a Spelling Bee then? Or was it just a coincidence that you said "spell it out" ?!? IMDB knows no movies with bee and a questionmark in the title ... And if the name isn't important, what is ... The fact that it sank? The fact that it took the blue ribbon record? The fact that the USA entered WWI? :doubt: The fact that it's a (oceanliner) ship in general? :silly: Just thinking aloud here, no need for answers :lol9: Edit Maybe a "Bee questionship" or something in that order... |
Re: Pictionary Closer in your thinking but not your answers  ... what is the full title of the ship? And what question might the questionmarkman be asking? (I'm not sure the clues have been given like this before ;) please don't virtua-hit me) |

A bee = B ? = "a bee?" = "A B?" and the ship's title is RMS? = arms? This (with a few intuitive leaps) leads me to wonder - might it be "Babes in Arms" ? |
Re: Pictionary Oh getting much warmer rosie  The ship's title is slightly debatable as it does indeed appear as RMS in many sources (Royal Mail Ship - ie. British post carrier) but I remembered it as a different title - I have looked into this, with crossed fingers hoping I wasn't leading you astray - and entries for both can be found - I have though, seen a photograph of a lifebouy from the ship and it does not say RMS on it. The 'titles' are not displayed on the prow of ships, which would have been the conclusive result. I actually believe that both titles are correct, one denoting the type and another an official post carrier. For example, many diesel powered craft have the identifying title of MV which is simply Motor Vessel. Some people might say this is a pretty shallow movie, others may call it deep. I reckon it's wet. |
Re: Pictionary  Ow :bonk: Title! Not name :banghead: Well, I should know that, shouldn't I? If it isn't R.M.S. it might be S.S. Lusitiana, as it is a steam ship. I don't think they ee had the habit to make ocean liner into O.L. so... So, this brings us to: "A B ? SS ". :crazy1: Erm.... :dizzy: Gotta think on this one for a bit now :lol9: Edit Ok, what about The Abyss ... "Underwater Flying Objects" :rotfl: |
