Aha, so it's not a sunset (thought it was with the orange, pinkish colour :p) but rather a moon. Bad moon? Evil moon? Is the background scenery significant?

Everybody knows that at harvest time, we have to work long into the night, so obviously, the answer must be "Harvest Moon" by Neil Young:
pictionary-harvest-moon.jpg

And even if, by the remotest chance, that answer wasn't completely correct, weren't you glad to see that clip, or rather, to hear the song again ???

Wow, that was nice, Helanren!

- though not the song I was after, I'm sorry to say.

You still need to take into account

Spoiler:
the face on the moon - doesn't it look familiar?

(rjk had that part figured out, it's in her post!)

- and what the moon is doing.

And go back in time from your guess, maybe 20+ years.

Oh, and one last hint -
Spoiler:
the last line of the song is known as a famous "Mondegreen."
(words confused with others, which are not correct but sound like the right ones.)

well, that gave it away of course, easy to find now, and yes, there is a 'bathroom on the right':

"Bad Moon Rising", by CCR

edit: might as well add the next one....

Songtitle
Spoiler:

note: this one might be a bit difficult, as the clues are based more on association than on the the actual words, so maybe if this wasn't as a big a hit abroad as it was overhere...we'll see how it goes

Yay, that was the one, you were right to go ahead and add your next clue!

I've always been fond of CCR, and John Fogerty, even while he was being sued for being too much like himself, what a joke!

Here's what I've been listening to lately in my car, from his "Blue Moon Swamp" album. (some bayou stuff for sure - and that's why JF's been on my mind a bit.)

So anyway, Helanren, now off to try and decipher your newest, and thanks for the Fogerty moments!

Hooray Helanren!
The melody sounds familiar so I must've heard that song before but didn't know the name of it (and thanks for the link btw ). To me rising = sun so I'd never associate it with moon (my fault - bad english).

Moving on to Helanren's pict. clue... purple gloves (clapping?) and a green frog talking of purple hearts? Something to do with a prince?

Looking at wikipedia, it may be a more obscure song outside the Netherlands....so a few additional hints:

a) I remember it well, because overhere it was the first song promoted with (sort of) a clip, rather than seeing the actual band play (or playback !) on 'Top of the Pops' and similar programs
b) the frog refers to that clip
c) the colour + the copyright part are clues for the artist

I'm truly stumped (hmm, when am I ever not with pictionary... :p). I searched for "Top of the Pops" plus possible songtitles and I couldn't even come up with a half-decent guess.
The singer, is he/she/them famous? Gloves + purple + google suggested a band called "The purple gang" (???) but somehow I don't think that's it...

Yes, the band/artist is quite famous, but I admit (this time... ) that it might be a bit too difficult (as that particular song is perhaps not as famous 'abroad' as it is overhere).

However, you are looking in the right direction!

How about first Googling that band (you're very close, just qualify that colour a bit...), and then see what the clues in the copyrightbox may have to do with it?

Note: the song was actually part of a solo project of the artist, not of the band he became famous with, but I thought (ah well, I could be wrong ) he would be easier to find through his band, therefore those clues in the picture....

The project was inspired by this 1802 poem, which incidentally does have its own Wikipediapage:

Oooh, I think I found it!

Is it Roger Glover's "Love is All" from the album The Butterfly Ball and the Grasshopper's Feast?

I see he is in the band Deep Purple, and I finally found the frog, too!

I discovered that the poem "The Butterfly's Ball, and the Grasshopper's Feast" was written in 1802 by William Roscoe.

(Also found reference to a possible relationship to the Beatles' song "All You Need is Love" - which parts of this song do seem to resemble.)

And the glove reference pretty much ties it up in a purple bow!
