Yeah was a good book. I read it around the same time I read American Psycho. Weird books to read back to back

Hmm so not Marathon in the name but the place is relevant... I may have to consult my geography books then!

It's not just the running man is it? I remember reading that too, although the film with Arnie was brilliantly awful

I still haven't a clue. If the word marathon isn't in the title... how about running or race? And what does the no/yes means? Is it about the start of the race or the origin of marathon? And what about the striped colourful socks? Is that a hint at the name of the author? Any help?

I had a thought about the feet image . . .
- it wouldn't have anything to do with "defeat" would it?

You're getting there....

- feet: nothing to do with defeat, but yes, it is a hint (see also the icon before it)
- 'running' or 'race': keep looking in that direction
- yes/no: simply the old pictionary trick of 'not this, but that'. So, what are the differences between a) the two types of races and b) the photo's?

tacjoe is back on the set, no regrets

i was just thinking how for the

the image is of a small scale competition compared to a WORLD competition for the other.

and there are more people for the top and a solo single runner in the second one.

no real ideas though but that was what caught me eye this time around looking at the image.

K'Lyn - Did you look clear back to post #2897?

That's the one we're on - but if you can't see it there, I'm at a loss to explain it!

Maybe could PM it . . . ?

OK, working with the clues and what you already discovered:
a) what race do you see in the the 'no' part? What in the 'yes' part? What's the main difference?
b) what is the sign in front of the feet? what does it mean? so what would it mean here?
c) and as tacjoe saw: there are many in the 'no', but the one in the 'yes' is alone

a) and c) are clues that come back the title. b) doesn't, but if you would solve that one (I admit it might be hard to find), you would figure out the title immediately as well .

a) a big race in the "no" picture? the "yes" part is a marathon but you've mentioned that the word "marathon" isn't in the title...
b) a copyright sign but unsure what the significance is (I tried googling copyright runner :p)
c) runners

I can't even come up with a half-decent guess.
