Helanren, do you not know how good that guess is, or are you just joking? :lol9:

The nickname for VW's (at least in the U.S.) has always been "Beetle" . . .
why didn't I think of that!?!?

(awww, I'll bet he knows that, he's "just funnin' us" - right?) :winky:

edit: Ohh, and the black and white stripes - just noticed!
Wow, that is a good clue, rjk!

Not all VWs, only the 'Type 1' or '1000' series... ;)

and yes, those stripes are a nice touch! I never saw the movie, but looking at that imdb page, I see where you got them from :)!

Yes, yes and yes to those clues. I thought the blackish nails are a nice touch, after all Beetlejuice is about a ghost and a girl who's in love with all things morbid and spooky.

And another well-spotted clue. Beeteljuice wears a black and white stripe suit in the movie. :)

So helanren, you're absolutely correct and it's your turn. :jossun:

Sort of ashamed :embarasse to come up with this photomontage after a real drawing, but here we go:

Booktitle (or more precisely, a story title, and the title of a collection of short stories :))

Re: Pictionary

Don't say that, Helanren. I don't think there was a rule that said only real drawings are permitted as clues. :)

Anyway, I'll try and take a guess. I see right/wrong (or yes/no), some runners in a race and colourful socks. And I think that is a map of Greece and that is Athens you're pointing at... I'll have to google some more to come up with a good guess.

There no longer is, because we changed the rules :), but still, I think coming up with a drawing is 'better' than using photo's!

And just to avoid confusion, it's not Athens. The scale of the map makes it difficult to see (of course, I went from 'place' to 'map' and that works, but from 'map' to 'place' is more difficult....). This map might help ;).

Is it that non runners marathon training guide thing? My housemate is training to run one and I saw a copy lying around the other day but I can't find it now to see the exact title... he ran a mini one today 5 miles in just under 40 mins. I could probably drive it in that

Re: Pictionary

Nope, it's real 'literature'...:)! But you did pick up on one thing though...

Re: Pictionary

Was it the marathon thing? I recognise it from my GCSE geography

Is it Marathon Man which is what I would have probably thought of first had aforementioned housemate not been waffling about running the damn things

Re: Pictionary

No, it's not Marathon Man. I didn't even know that the film was based on a book ;), though I really liked the film. I remember the opening scene as one of the most scary I have ever seen, even though nothing happens in it. Just the feeling the old lady must have had when she saw Szell/Mengele walking down the street in New York.... The dentist scene is not too bad either...
And on the upside, there was of course Marthe Keller !

The place is indeed Marathon, but that name isn't part of the title.
