Okay, hoping I've done everything properly as this is my first time posting a picture in pictionary (oh, the excitement). Anyways, here is a book title:

*removed invalid link*

Oops...:embarasse. The pain of being the new kid on the block. I'm trying without the spoiler. Hope that's okay.

Here is what I see:

Attachment 33968

but somehow I doubt that you are actually looking for "The Missing Link" by Adam Pfeffer :)??????

edit: that's more like it

edit2: Could it be Cat's Eye by Margaret Atwood?

Re: Pictionary

Don't worry, Minxxo, I was new only a couple of months ago, and have pulled a few REALLY silly things! :embarasse

Personally I mostly only use the spoilers
Spoiler:
if I have a huge block of text, or a really big comment, or I think the image is a little too huge for the space. Yours is very reasonably sized, so is no doubt fine without the spoilers.

Most inserts done through "manage attachments" seem to tend to size themselves down just fine to fit well into a comment, but sometimes I just want that bigger image, like from Photobucket or whereever - you know, for more detail or a nice big effect, so I enclose them in the spoilers so they don't just sit there blaring and take up the whole "page".

Also, there is this in the forum rules/FAQ under "Post Content":

Quote:

"13. Please keep any images in posts to a reasonable size. Any images that distort the layout of the forum will be either removed or downsized at the discretion of a Moderator. . . ."

"14. The use of spoiler tags is required mostly in the Games Forum for hiding answers and hints however, it's also encouraged when you're posting pictures in an image intensive thread and any time it can help make a large post a bit more manageable."

That said, I have another cat eye guess - is your book title maybe "Cat Eye," by Lucile Palmer? (1949)

Re: Pictionary

Yes Helanren, it was Atwood's Cat's Eye. :super-coo Although I sort of wish I had done The Missing Link as that would have been rather ingenious. And thanks for the tips rbud57.

So on to you Helanren.

Re: Pictionary

Maybe "The World Turns Round and Round," by Nicki Weiss, (2000)?
(just a stab in the dark, from the "Library of Congress" list.)

Re: Pictionary

What about; Around the World in 80 days by Jules Verne?

Helanren 04-11-2008 10:42 PM

Re: Pictionary

Nope, it wasn't "Around a Northern world in 80 turns", to quote you all collectively, but I think Minxxo came closest. Have another look at the globe :).

edit: on second thought, it seemed to make more sense to make the arrow green, so I fixed that :)!
