Re: Pictionary

Been waiting for this as I have a couple in mind to do... Here's the 1st one...

Movie

Helanren 10-24-2009 09:52 AM

Re: Pictionary

Didn't recognize that Pink Floyd song at all (not that I know all of them by heart...), not even after finding it on YouTube, but I feel excused after reading this about it .

Nice pictionary ;)

I think that is the US version of Wheel of Fortune with Pat Sajak; don't know yet who the guy in the loud shirt is, a tennis commentator maybe?

itSFMe 10-24-2009 10:57 AM

Re: Pictionary

I have no clue who the guy in the screaming tennis shirt is either, but that mr. Sajak looks so strange at him that I think you might be referring to:
A Man Betrayed (UK title Citadel of Crime, TV title Wheel of Fortune)
It is a movie from 1941 (USA), but I don't think it has anything to do with tennis  ...

vexhold 10-24-2009 11:11 AM

Re: Pictionary

The shirt means nothing. I just had to find a picture of him without his "official garb".

He is a US TV show persona who is well known.

I have another version of my picture if it needs to be used...

But for now this is all you get

Scouser 10-24-2009 11:23 AM

Re: Pictionary

I think the other fella is from The Price is Right ,Bob Barker ?

Hang on a minute is it Quiz Show (1994)

vexhold 10-24-2009 11:44 AM

Re: Pictionary

Yes that guy is old as Bob Barker, but not as dead as him. Sorry.

Scouser 10-24-2009 12:04 PM

Re: Pictionary

Lets try "My Name Is Earl" Nature's Game Show ? but I think thats a TV show not a movie:thinking:

vexhold 10-24-2009 12:16 PM

Re: Pictionary

Ok, this must be too hard to get the guys name.... reposting Picture.

Scouser 10-24-2009 12:30 PM

Re: Pictionary

Well he's either a judge or an auctioneer !

I don't think Bob Barker is dead, he's just retired :)

Having said that, I still have no clue on who the other old guy is :winky: so I keep looking.

Scouser 10-24-2009 05:54 PM

Re: Pictionary

I didn't think he was dead either:doubt:

Haha, I was sure that shirt was photoshopped with ulterior motives...and you tell us it's for real :lol9:? I have tried to think of a google term that can give me a photo of any shirt like that, with or without him in it, but no luck yet .

Now looking for, as Scouser mentioned too, TV judges and auctioneers...;)

[edit] He looks a bit like Judge Joe Wapner of The People's Court, but I have a hard time imagining that guy wearing that tennis player shirt....;)

Re: Pictionary

Is it Rain Man? :doubt:
Spoiler:
Raymond is boarding a train back to Walbrook]
Raymond: 'Course it's 10 minutes to Wapner.
Charlie: You'll make it.
Raymond: Yeah.

Or Joseph's Wheel of Destiny?

Helanren 10-25-2009 06:09 PM

Re: Pictionary

I found a Rain Man reference too, apparently Raymond is also a big Wheel of Fortune fan, but that would have been a very hard clue !

However, your second one sounds good

vexhold 10-26-2009 01:30 AM

Re: Pictionary

Rain Man it is. Good Job.

Celli your up.

Scouser 10-26-2009 08:02 AM

Re: Pictionary

Well I would never have got that in a million years ! well done celli:arms: and good pictionary vexhold.

celli 10-26-2009 12:14 PM

Re: Pictionary

Well I'll be.......if anything I had my hopes on Joseph's Wheel and not on Rain Man.
Of course as soon as Hel identified the man as Wapner I heard Raymonds voice in my head saying :'' course it's ten minutes to Wapner, ten minutes to Wapner'', but I thought it was a bit far fetched, apparently not.

OK then I have a MOVIE for you as well

Helanren 10-26-2009 12:22 PM

Re: Pictionary

TV movies OK? Then maybe Run, Simon, Run .

Haha, wondering what a "Roadrunner poof" could be, I tried googling it, and this is the very useful #1 result on page 1:
Spoiler:
http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u...anren/poof.jpg

So I'll have to conclude it's just the sound effect, nothing special
