Re: Pictionary

Sleep all Summer by St, Vincent and The National? :doubt:

Helanren 08-24-2009 07:14 PM

Re: Pictionary

Could of course be A Lonely October Night by Nattvindens Grat, or One October Song by Nico Stai
Spoiler:
"....you know that thing
that you say you sometimes dream of
well I think it's happening to me...."

but both singers/bands are such unknowns I wouldn't put my money on it. Still, lots of unknowns have turned up here...:lol9:!

Scouser 08-24-2009 07:38 PM

Re: Pictionary

Nope, neither of those celli and Helanren, I've added another image to see if it helps.

The time on the alarm clock means nothing, if anything it should say 1 minute after midnight !!!!!!

celli 08-26-2009 10:56 AM

Re: Pictionary

I'm getting nowhere with this Scouser.
Found a band called ''First October" and a movie ''First Monday in October'' with Walter Matthau, but that's about it.

Scouser 08-26-2009 11:07 AM

Re: Pictionary

It is a bit obscure ! so I'm adding something to it AGAIN !!!!! This will give you a clue to the band.....

Think about the alarm ringing....

I think I know it, but I will hold off for a while to give the others a chance......

celli 08-26-2009 12:18 PM

Re: Pictionary

I bet you know the right answer Scouser, you are really good at this.
Also it is pretty straight forward, but still....

itSFMe 08-26-2009 01:41 PM

Re: Pictionary

Ok, let me try then... it doesn't look that easy to me :rotfl:

I can't even get the sequence  :bonk: :wall: 3,5,7 and 11,13,15,17 and... no clue what comes next... it looks like the people in the pictionary are newly weds though so lets go with that.

*blank*

Erm... ok, so lets not go with that

celli 08-26-2009 02:18 PM

Re: Pictionary

There is a sequence in the numbers, maybe I should have started with 1, but that is not necessary, also I see I forgot 9, but that is not really important either.
And yes I believe they were just married when this picture was taken, can't you tell who they are? Think jumping up and down on a couch

itSFMe 08-26-2009 02:23 PM

Re: Pictionary

I'll try that , hold on...

:dustycouc

Edit Ok, first thought was the Odd Couple, but apparently that's only a TV Series... ow hold on, here we go: 1968. But that can't be it... Why pick Cruise and Holmes for such? So then after some more jumping I figured it might be a movie about an odd cruise (those are the Cruises)... :doubt: the Love Boat?!? I have a gut feeling I'm thinking a bit too jibberish now :rotfl:

celli 08-26-2009 02:39 PM

Re: Pictionary

You are thinking way to deep, the Odd Couple (starring Jack Lemon and Walter Matthau) is right.
Don't read much tabloids do you  ? Because then you should know that most people think Katie and Tom are an ''odd couple''.
Anyway the numbers are - of course - odd numbers.
Well done Its :arms: and over to you.

itSFMe 08-26-2009 02:40 PM

Re: Pictionary

:arms: WeeeeeeeeeHeeeeeeeeeeee :arms: Thanks for your help Celli... back to the drawing board it is

Scouser 08-26-2009 02:40 PM

Re: Pictionary

I think celli picked them because thay ARE an Odd couple

oops celli already explained.....

Well done itS:arms:

Helanren 08-26-2009 02:44 PM

Re: Pictionary

Hey, look at that, SF is back! Had a nice holiday?

After first concluding that the important part of the sequence was the missing 9 and focussing on that, I see that's no longer necessary :). So, 'odd' seems to do well, and The Odd Couple seems a logical choice. But, if it is a Cruise/Holmes wedding picture, how about "The Odd Kid(man) Out"?

 Asked and answered: that would go for me as well; Kidman is the only one I vaguely associate with Cruise, though I did know, or at least seemed to remember, that they were divorced...

Re: Pictionary

It was great HelanRen, I really like the Friese Meren ;) You know, I've also visited Amsterdam - for the Alice in Chains concert. It was amazing! :guitar1: But before the concert I did some museums: Rijksmuseum, Foam, Van Gogh museum, Tropenmuseum, Huis Marseille. All in under 5 hours :whistling :wall: Long live the museumjaarkaart :rotfl:
And great find - I see you're up with the tabloids

Ok, here we go: a very recent SONG

Only reading the ''bladen'' (tabloids) in the doctor's waitingroom right? Cause that explains the 5 or so years you are ''behind''

Re: Pictionary

Is it Running in the City by Space?
 I see now that is from 1978, hardly to be called ''recent''

itSFMe 08-26-2009 03:28 PM

Re: Pictionary

Nope (this is not that recent a song), but you're very close!

Scouser 08-26-2009 08:34 PM
