You're forgetting I'm from an entirely different generation than you :cheesy:
Talk about Simply Red, Roxy Music, U2, Sinead o'Connor  Lady Gaga
I found a film called Lady with the Black Gloves, but obviously she is wearing red gloves, so no.....:doubt:

I think I'm with Celli on this....even if the bands she mentions are still a bit too modern !

The colour or glove doesn't matter, imagine without the glove.......

Scouser 08-11-2009 07:01 PM

Re: Pictionary

YES See Mrs Doubt:doubt: you got it:arms:

celli 08-11-2009 07:09 PM

Re: Pictionary

Oooh, thanks Scouser...I started out with ''big hand'' but couldn't find anything at first, so then I went to gloves.

Considering my previous debâcle I'm a bit reluctant to post a new one, but I THINK this is a movie....

This is a simple movie title.....

Re: Pictionary

Well, I've pursued the "cash on the barrelhead" angle for a while, but can only find songs so far.

And anyway it looks more like a barrel of cash instead of the cash being on the top, which is how I'd think "cash on the barrelhead" should be interpreted, so I think I'll continue looking from a different direction.

I think I recognize the new 10 dollar bill with Alexander Hamilton, the 20 dollar bill designed by Osama bin Laden, and I think the 50 dollar bill with Ulysses S. Grant, so I'll go with Per una bara piena di dollari

Scouser 08-12-2009 11:13 AM

Re: Pictionary

No Helanren, the title is in English and bara means coffin :yikes:

Wait hold the front page !!!! I've just seen that in America its called a Coffin Full Of Dollars, in English its A ...... Full Of Dollars.... So I suppose I should give it to Helanren.

Helanren 08-12-2009 11:23 AM

Re: Pictionary

Well, one of its alternative titles is A Barrel Full of Dollars ;)

Scouser 08-12-2009 11:28 AM

Re: Pictionary

Yep as I said in my last post, its over to you, well done :arms:

Another

book

Scouser 08-12-2009 03:02 PM

Re: Pictionary

I see a desert and a makeshift school lesson about old typwriter keys ! there are hundreds of books with lessons in the desert so I guess I will have to narrow my search.

celli 08-12-2009 03:36 PM

Re: Pictionary

The Writing Class by Jincy Willett? :doubt: ( see no desert in there so probably not)

Good thinking..... But if you start your narrowing down in the right place, it's really easy to find!

Scouser 08-12-2009 08:32 PM

Re: Pictionary

: Lessons from the desert: by George Roth ? or The Desert Alphabet Book
: Jerry Pallotta

Helanren 08-12-2009 10:02 PM

Re: Pictionary

Nope ;). As you said before, it's a good idea to narrow down some of the things you identified in the picture, be more specific in your search terms....

Scouser 08-13-2009 07:05 PM

Re: Pictionary

I'm lost on this one:nod:

Helanren 08-13-2009 09:49 PM

Re: Pictionary

OK, two more hints:
a) you've missed one other clue in the image
b) it's not just any desert...

Scouser 08-14-2009 12:04 PM

Re: Pictionary

I think its The Kalahari Typing School for Men by Alexander McCall Smith????

Helanren 08-14-2009 12:14 PM

Re: Pictionary

Great find Scouser and very nice pictionary Helanren :jossun:
Now what have we here?
An alien at a reception desk, a POLITE alien. If this where a song I'd say Grateful Dead from the Mars Hotel, but it's a book alas.

Scouser 08-14-2009 05:45 PM

Re: Pictionary

You have mentioned one of the words celli and whats another word for an alien ?

celli 08-14-2009 06:23 PM

Re: Pictionary

Another word for Alien? Heck I don't know.....foreigner, green monster, outsider, George W Bush?????
