Wow, amazing what happens when you're offline here for only two days. BTW, my guess at Hel's pictionary wasn't right, I had thought it was the Bible for some unexplainable reason...

I'm not sure if I'm psychologically reversed now, but I recognized the painting, even if you tried to hide it in a sea of white . I think I remembered it from when I looked around for things when I made this one myself, or maybe because of this post ;).

Another easy one:

Kick you? When I know you can't kick back, for the moment at least...?
But no, I'm sorry, that's not it ;).

Re: Pictionary

Guessing it must be "Heart of Darkness" by Joseph Conrad?
Spoiler:
Quote:

"The most famous adaptation of Conrad’s Heart of Darkness is Francis Ford Coppola's 1979 movie Apocalypse Now, which transposes the context of the narrative from the Congo into Vietnam and Cambodia during the Vietnam War."
If so, good one, Helanren! - and it may be a bit before I can be back with a clue, have lots to do today. :)

It's not that hard, with the help of some free image processing software I found on the web ;)
Spoiler:
I use Photofiltre, which has a "fade paste" function; if you paste an image on top of another you can set that fade function to 5, 10, 15 etc. up to 100% (at least that is what I used here) and get a series of images in which one image gradually appears on top of another.
Then I used UnFREEz, a really simplistic program to make animated gifs, and fooled around a bit with the settings until it looked right. I think I used a 10 cs delay between frames; the start and end frames (100% of the heart and 100% of the apocalypse now image) I inserted a few times in sequence, so they would be in view longer. To merge the image back and forth, I used a sequence of 0,0,0,0, 5, 10, 15.....90, 95,100, 100, 100, 100, 95, 90, 85...5 and set the animated gif to loop around; if you only want to do the merging of the images one way, just go 0, 5, 10.....90, 95, 100

I'm sure there is some more sophisticated software around, but this seems to work ;).

Re: Pictionary

Wow, Scouser, good job!

I thought maybe the fact that Patsy wasn't wearing one of her cowgirl outfits (like this)- would slow folks down, but no!

Way to go! And you're up!

Scouser 08-11-2009 08:40 AM

Re: Pictionary

Thanks Helanren and rbud, nice Pictionary:biggrin: No animation on this (I leave the arty farty stuff to my husband:nod:)

Its simply a movie title...

Helanren 08-11-2009 01:10 PM

Re: Pictionary

If it was a book/story, I'd say Little Red Riding Hood :
- 'But, grandmother, what large hands you have!'
'All the better to hug you with.'

Now off to see if they made a movie from that....

edit: well, I suppose they did, but nothing that really jumps out ;)

Re: Pictionary

Is the fact that it is a woman and how she is dressed important?
Is it the Red Glove?

Scouser 08-11-2009 04:52 PM

Re: Pictionary

Its part of her name thats important, nothing to do with how she's dressed.....The fact she's a woman is important, and if you recognize her you will have one of the words......
