Nice:biggrin:

Here we go, itS should get this one. Its the title of a Poem......

Re: Pictionary

I'm not itS, but can I have a go?
I found this, Sitting Bull's Dream by Laurence Overmire.
Spoiler:
Sitting Bull's Dream

Sitting Bull saw it in a dream
White men falling from the sky
And for a time
We believed
The prophecy was fulfilled
The soldiers came to kill us
Our women, our children
Our future, our dreams
Foolish men
They did not see
They join in the Ghost Dance
Now
Together in sorrow
Our blood flows like two rivers into one
Brothers we are
Brothers we have always been
Oh Mother Earth
Forgive us.
Truly
Now
There is a falling from the sky
The sacred hoop is broken
But different hands with different voice
Hear the ancient songs
And soon
All men will see
That truth and justice
Must
Prevail.

But no blue car anywhere, and I'm really not sure who the man in the sky (or on the bridge) is. So call me stupid and move on please :cool2:

Re: Pictionary

Not the one celli, good guess though.

celli 07-10-2009 06:05 PM

Re: Pictionary

You are too kind :cheesy:
Is it important who it is there on the bridge? Cause I've been going over pictures of 19th Century English and American Poets, but none of them look like him.

Scouser 07-10-2009 06:07 PM

Re: Pictionary

He's not the poet, its his name thats important.....

Read the lines - Wolfsheim

Whats that:lol:

 I'd say it was a fairly easy to solve clue for the song Read the lines by the German darkwave (whatever that may be) band Wolfsheim :rotfl:! Quite nice too:

The poem I think is Ford O' Kabul River from "The Barrack-Room Ballads, and Other Verses" by Rudyard Kipling
Spoiler:
Ford Ka, a bull, a river and Henry Ford on the bridge ;)

There's the river up and brimmin',
An' there's 'arf a squadron swimmin'
'Cross the ford o' Kabul river in the dark.

Scouser 07-10-2009 07:18 PM

Re: Pictionary

Well spotted I didn't even realise it was a Ka, I was just putting an image of a car, but thats even better:biggrin:

Helanren 07-10-2009 07:45 PM

Re: Pictionary

 Now that you mention it, it might not be a Ka after all :lol9:! It does look like it at least, and I already had Henry Ford, so when I saw some images of a Ka I immediately thought of Kabul and figured I might be on to something. I'm not sure if I would guessed "Carbull" from another car ;).
Nice cryptionary either way though; did you know SF just blogged about Kipling, or is that a coincidence too?

OMG my husband will kill me, him working for Ford and all :bonk:
Should have shown him the pictionary

Here's another easy one :cheesy::

song

Re: Pictionary

Brilliant Pictionary, that must have taken you a while to put together, "Walking On The Moon" comes to mind straight away, but there seems to be a reference to Michael Jackson, the pepsi logo, crown (king of pop) moon walking, the cheese being the moon !

Michael Jackson did an Album called "Moon Walker" and there is a song on that called "The Moon is Walking":doubt:

Helanren 07-11-2009 11:46 AM

Re: Pictionary

You have all the clues, just not (yet) the right song :).

celli 07-11-2009 03:23 PM

Re: Pictionary

Is it "Dancing on the Moon" ? Or otherwise it must be ''Moondance'' by Van Morrisson.
Great picture Helanren, never would have thought to portay the King op Pop as the king of a soda-pop

That was (almost) accidental...

There is no direct clue to the song's title or lyrics in the pictionary (so any form of 'dancing/walking on the moon' is incorrect ;)), but all the clues have been identified already!

Maybe the "full" version will help?

After a while, the changes to the individual frames became routine, so I finished the whole thing after all ;)

Please, please, pretty please.....

It is easy too :rotfl:!!! Scouser dissected it completely in her post, it just needs the coup de grâce...

You're thinking too far outside of the box, you'll have to get back in (well, almost...)

What do you see? Who is doing it?

I am very tempted to mention "Dancing Queen" by ABBA :silly: :rotfl: :silly:

I never knew about this one though:
Spoiler:
YouTube - Pepsi Commercial - Michael Jackson

:Sing: You're dancing through the day :Sing:

Michael Jackson - Billy Jean (pepsi commercial)

Re: Pictionary

I just went through ALL of his Pepsi Commercials on YouTube :dizzy:

OK let's stay calm here:hmmmthumb...Scouser dissected it, so she said: Michael Jackson, moon, cheese, crown, king of pop, Pepsi, (moon)walking

GOT IT........Man on the Moon By R.E.M.:1zhelp:

:rotfl:! Must have been a lot of fun :rotfl:.

What you saw in the pictionary was simply a moonwalk, performed by Michael Jackson
Spoiler:
I did think of "(soda) pop" when I made it, well spotted! I wanted to use a moving bottle first, but then thought that a Pepsi head would be enough of a hint because of his well known World Tours blatantly sponsored by Pepsi....

If you look up the moonwalk, you'll find that although it was known in some way or another before Jackson made it famousit is now associated with the song "Billy Jean", so that was the (simple :)) answer to the pictionary....
Spoiler:
I didn't remember there were "Pepsi versions" of the song as well though ;)

So, I guess SF gets to do the next one :jossun:

And btw, if you haven't done so yet, check out this site for more amateur moonwalks .

Re: Pictionary

Ah... So it was "just" Billy Jean! I have to say I wouldn't hae grasped that - it was really all because of the commercial  Your explination makes it all clear though ;)

Here we go with a SONG agian. I did "copy+paste" this time, as I'm a bit limited in time

As usual I'm at a total loss here.
I see a syringe or vaccination, bowl of rice and a ghostrider. So I'm thinking Asian flu gone the wrong way? Now if only someone had made that into a song.....:cheesy:

The Pepsi-MJ connection of the 1980's was maybe slightly before your time as a music addict :)?

I don't know if "ghostriding/driving" in English is what it means in Dutch, wiki simply calls that "wrong way driving", so I think we can do without a ghost in the song?

Maybe "Injection" by Rise Against?

celli 07-12-2009 04:26 PM

And that is why I said: ''Asian flu gone the wrong way''
But you probably already gave the right answer, so I won't bother looking for something else.
Now, when you say you're going to make your next one '' EASY'' I'm gonna thump you one :cool2: Mister I'm- not- easily- intimidated.

film

celli 07-12-2009 11:08 PM

Re: Pictionary

Grrrrrrrrrrr, another ''easy'' one, you'd better not look like La Linea, because when I spot you in Amsterdam walking on the street like thát, I don't know what might happen

OK here we go.....I see Superman as the devil, or the devil as Superman, with a sign on his chest that says Milano (if my eyes don't deceive me). My first thought is ''the Devil wears Prada" , Prada being Italian of course. I don't see the connection with Superman though
I don't think the devil wears clothing normally (NOT that I would know mind you), so he could be wearing clothes coming from Milan, ergo from Prada.
Hhhhmmmmmm, sounds OK so far I think, let's see what the man has to say about this :boredthum

Helanren 07-12-2009 11:35 PM

Re: Pictionary

Have more faith in yourself ! Who says that's Superman? It's some guy with horns and a tail and an evil look in his eyes, flying around through a sky that still lightly reflects the flames of hell, and yes, fashion conscious !

Your turn :jossun:

Oooh and I didn't even know that was the Prada Logo, now you know I don't shop in the PC Hooftstraat

For my next performance I have a SONG and I want the title of the song and the singer please. Should take you just about 2 minutes 17 secs
Spoiler:

Scouser 07-13-2009 07:19 AM

Re: Pictionary

What do we have here:thinking: Lord Kitchener in the poster, a karate kick, (black belt) and blue eyes with over sized lashes !!!!

BTW That sure looked like Superman to me:nod:

celli 07-13-2009 12:26 PM

Re: Pictionary

Strange as it may seem to you that's not at all bad

itSFMe 07-13-2009 01:05 PM

Re: Pictionary

Well Celli, you've got me stumped too... I found some songs with Kitchener in it, but none that fits the other clues. Neither does Horatio...

Maybe a song about abuse - kicking somebody blue eyes?!? Maybe even some lashing involved... :doubt: Not sure how Kitchener fits in though.

Searching on ;)

celli 07-13-2009 01:25 PM

Re: Pictionary

It's not the NAME of the man in the poster (Kitchener) that is important.

Helanren 07-14-2009 03:41 PM

Re: Pictionary

His title then, I guess...but as there are far too many songs praising either the Lord or Blue Eyes, it looks as if we will have to focus on the karate part :).
Is it the sport itself, or the kick? "Oh Lord, I get a kick out of big blue eyes" might be a good refrain for the song ?

Spoiler:
which by the way reminds me of an old joke:
the eyes of a woman should be like the feet of an infantryman:
Spoiler:
big, black and wet (doesn't translate too well: groot, zwart en vochtig)

itSFMe 07-14-2009 08:19 PM

Re: Pictionary

Ow yuck! That joke has a way of really messing up the image of a woman her eyes! :wall: Thanks for that HelanRen :rotfl:

Celli... I really have no idea  I think it has something to do with "want you", lashing, kicking and blue eyes... but there is no song that fits with all of those clues  or at least - I can't find it :silly:

celli 07-14-2009 08:34 PM

Re: Pictionary

That joke has a beard (and I'm sure that this is not a true English expression, but you get the meaning don't you?) as long as the Chinese Wall Helanren  Good grief where did you pick that up?
And actually you where getting soooooo close with the title. It's not religious in any way, so skip the Lord part too as well as his name.

Also iTS, it has nothing to do with abuse in any form, the blue eyes are just what they are.

Remember part of the picture is the song title and part is the singer.
