Re: Pictionary

And I thought this one would be easy ;)

 None of the songs mentioned is right. And yes, it's a coincidence AngelStar :)

Re: Pictionary

I think they are silhouettes rather than shadows so maybe 'Silhouette Of A Dancer' by Delain.

Helanren 06-18-2009 12:56 PM

Re: Pictionary

"Silhouette Of A Dancer" by Delain?

edit: I think Scouser made a very good guess

itSFMe 06-18-2009 01:00 PM

Re: Pictionary

I did not really mean you all to focus on the fact that those are silhouettes :whistling. It's just easier than drawing all the details

Scouser 06-18-2009 01:02 PM

Re: Pictionary

If its not the silhouettes or the pointing, what are we to focus on ?

Re: Pictionary

Isn't there anything else that stands out?!?

Helanren 06-18-2009 01:36 PM

Re: Pictionary

The size difference, but I don't know yet how to interpret that ! Or, classical vs. modern dance?

itSFMe 06-18-2009 01:45 PM

Re: Pictionary

It's the size difference indeed... Though there is a reference to classical dance in the lyrics :).

I'll give you some time to contemplate on it and otherwise I'll add a clue

Aventura 06-18-2009 01:59 PM

Re: Pictionary

"Tiny Dancer" by Elton John?

There is a reference to a Ballerina in the lyrics :)

itSFMe 06-18-2009 02:03 PM

Re: Pictionary

:arms: Right on the spot there Aventura :) Though I like Marko Demark's version of the song better, or the version with Elton John AND Ironik :silly: I just went for the original here ;)

The additional clue would have been this:

Your turn Aventura :arms:

Aventura 06-18-2009 02:45 PM

Re: Pictionary

Oh that's great news after some absence here :) I like that song (even though I only knew the Elton John version so far)! And just how convenient, since I have drawn something silly during lunch and am able to post it now. Guess what, it's another song

Oooh My Chemical Romance with Honey, This Mirror isn't big enough for the two of us?

Aventura 06-18-2009 04:29 PM

Re: Pictionary

Yep, that's the one, angel!
I wonder if this was too easy again?

itSFMe 06-18-2009 04:44 PM

Re: Pictionary

:rotfl: Wonderful find AngelStar, and neatly drawn Aventura :arms: Not too easy - I for one did not figure it out :silly:

angelstar 06-18-2009 04:48 PM

Re: Pictionary

well google helped, cause i don't know the song, but i like the way you pictured it :)
gotta make a new one, so might take a bit...

And how on earth did you manage to make that smiley so big?! :wall:

Oh I think Helanren's got a feather in his drawers

In his drawers? never heard that expression before

Actually, it was in response to the name of the band + the song, as well as the way it was portrayed. But it took me a while to make that smilie up, so the post is a bit out of sequence
Spoiler:
for 'make', read 'plagiarize Jimbo's hard work' ;)

I'm not totally sure if I should really ask what that means...:)?

Bloomers, knickers, pants, whatever you want to call them

OK, I got that part :). I wondered if "a feather in his pants" was some sort of standard expression, like "a feather in his hat" (but less positive...), but I guess I just have to take it literally here .

Re: Pictionary

Ok here goes it's a work of art(if i might say so myself :rotfl:)

Re: Pictionary

Well, I have a teenage son who went through a Bam Margera phase, so I know that's a "heartagram" in the thought cloud/bubble - which is a symbol used by the Finnish band "HIM" (and not a satanic thing, like it sort of looks like.)

(not surprisingly, the band's URL is "heartagram.com")

So I'm guessing it's something to do with "thinking of him" or "dreaming of him"? But that's all I have so far. :)

angelstar 06-18-2009 07:49 PM

Re: Pictionary

and here i was thinking i made a tricky one for a change :rotfl: you already mentioned the right title, but obviously i also want the artist, there's not a clue for the artist in the pictionary yet, but i do believe it's one of the first things that pops up in google if you search with the right title so it shouldn't be too hard...

Spoiler:
this
Spoiler:
and doesn't want to just find it here :)

yep that's the one :)

rbud57 06-18-2009 10:47 PM

Re: Pictionary

Okay, if Helanren's not naming the artist, does that mean it's still open?

"Thinking of Him" by Roy Lichtenstein?

Helanren 06-18-2009 11:09 PM

Re: Pictionary

You basically solved it rbud, with your encyclopedic knowledge of obscure youth culture, so you deserve to go up next ;).

angelstar 06-18-2009 11:11 PM

Re: Pictionary

Yep, your turn rbud :)

rbud57 06-18-2009 11:36 PM

Re: Pictionary

Ah, well then, I have a little thing done up, might not take long.

...but first, a pic of some Bam Margera skateboards, of which I've seen many (thanks to our son) - to explain why I knew the symbol. (guess Bam likes the band and/or the symbol.)

Spoiler:
oooh, and these are pink, too! :flirt:

http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/j...bam-boards.jpg
Okay, this clue is for a semi-famous person.

Re: Pictionary

Pink is the new in-colour for daredevil teenage boys?????

angelstar 06-18-2009 11:55 PM

Re: Pictionary

Yeah Helanren, you're only a real man if you can pull of pink
and i think Scouser might be right, though i have no idea who that is i think

rbud57 06-19-2009 06:56 AM

Re: Pictionary

Yep, Scouser's right! That was pretty painless!

1/2 of a tomato, haha!

And don't ask me about the pink, I don't get it either!

(sorry to take so long, BTW, net's been down most of tonight, probably will be down again - bad weather.) :doubt:

Hmmm, no idea yet. Pretty sure the name of the man is important, but I don't know who he is...

itSFMe 06-19-2009 03:56 PM

Re: Pictionary

I really can't think of any character WITH a bowler hat, but WITHOUT a mustache :rotfl: Except that guy from the Avengers, but he would be nothing without Emma so she should be on the pictionary if that would be the one. Which it isn't for I might have a bad eye for faces, but I'm pretty sure that's not John Steed...

Scouser 06-19-2009 04:00 PM

Re: Pictionary

No its not Steed, the fella's face is cloned onto the image, he's not famous for wearing a bowler hat either.......................
