Re: Pictionary

 Rather the hair and the guitar than the face that made me think of the guitarist of Queen ;)

I guess we can not go for "the Life of Brian", as he's obviously dead or dying. Maybe "Last days of May", but there are no clues for days... There is a movie called "May minamahal", but I have no idea what that last word means :rotfl:

Somehow, this title struck me.

So others May live (2008)

Jimborama 05-22-2009 02:58 PM

Re: Pictionary

It is Brian May.

It isn't hangman.

No one's got it right

Scouser 05-22-2009 03:11 PM

Re: Pictionary

The arrows could indicate both ways:doubt: there is a movie called "Look Both Ways" but it gives no indication of a guitarist from Queen lying all bloodied and dead on the ground !

They could...

but they don't

Re: Pictionary

Or "to and from". Still not sure about the dashed line though...

According to wiki "dashed" can be an euphenism for "damned". Looking at May I think he might be :silly:

Maybe it's a horror movie?!

Queen of the Damned

Jimborama 05-22-2009 04:19 PM

Re: Pictionary

It's much simpler than that ;)

(nice work though :))

Re: Pictionary

Oh is it Braindead? :)

Swap the letters I and A in Brian and he's dead.

Now that's clever! :arms:

Re: Pictionary

Serves him right for being sarky about my both ways comment on his pictionary:lol:
Thanks rosalie.

will be back later......................

Here we go.... its song.

Re: Pictionary

Quickly in and out, as I will be away over the weekend...

First thought: tangerine trees : Lucy In The Sky with Diamonds, but the rest doesn't fit, and besides I probably thought of that because I used it myself recently...

Second try: I found that same(?) tangerine on a footballwebsite, which seemed fitting for Scouser. But... it is all about Leeds United, so somehow I doubt she bothers to follow this particular site...

Third attempt: .... Oh, I think I actually have it (nice pictionary ), but I'll leave it open. I am not going to be around to make up another one and answer posts about it anyway. I'll be back Sunday evening or so to see who got it ;)

Oh, and a passing thought:

Great pictionary, but very unfortunate choice of clue: the guy has a Ph.D. in Astrophysics of all things, and besides he is now the Chancellor of Liverpool John Moores University :rotfl:!

itSFMe 05-23-2009 01:07 AM

Re: Pictionary

First thought:
Sting - Desert Rose
But there is no oranges in that song :doubt:

Tangarine Dream - Desert Dream

Jimborama 05-23-2009 02:17 AM

Re: Pictionary

Thanks Hel... I started looking for Orange Juice songs, not Tangerine Dream.
I'd only got as far as Oasis and/or Green Desert which I think are albums.
And I know May is an astrophysicist but he was the first Brian that came to mind, I thought everyone would know him :)

So Scouser... a secret love of Leeds United? hahaha

Neither did I, but it made the braindead part rather funny !

Re: Pictionary

Indeed Jimbo, thanks to HelanRen for recognizing the tangerine - I would have gone for "orange".

Song

Re: Pictionary

Okay, could it be as straightforward as Music is Power by Richard Ashcroft?

itSFMe 05-24-2009 01:27 PM

:arms: Definitely :) A great song :lah:

Your turn.

Re: Pictionary

Weeeeeeeeeee!

I had to dash in with my answer, can I ask about the first two images, I got it from sunshine and the 'no spots' :)
---

Okay this is a song, no reference to artist(s) but there is a blatent clue to something other that the song title - and I want that in your answer (it'll all be clear in the end):

rbud57 05-25-2009 04:40 AM

Re: Pictionary

I think it's "ether" and "null", jimbo - those first two images of angelstar's, I mean.

Yours....hmmm. Not "Runnin' with the Devil" by Van Halen? :cheesy:

Jimborama 05-25-2009 05:59 AM

Re: Pictionary

Oh 'null', nice... I didn't think of that.

Nope, not your guess (clues will come later :))

Oh and  to you, ain't spoken.

itSFMe 05-25-2009 08:28 AM

Re: Pictionary

 A devil and a sign indicating 2 directions, opposite but equal in distance :dizzy: :doubt:

I was thinking about something with "two way" in it, but I can not find such a song. Devil's Way is not really it, as it seems like the devil is travelling - not like he's controlling the road itself.

Jenny Lee Lewis - Run, Devil Run

rbud57 05-25-2009 10:20 AM

Re: Pictionary

Maybe something like "halfway" since it is the same in both directions?

angelstar 05-25-2009 10:40 AM

Re: Pictionary

Yes Jimbo, Rbud is correct where my clues were concerned :)
No fitting song for you clue yet though

neija 05-25-2009 11:11 AM

Re: Pictionary

I think it's half way too.

My guess...

Inspiral Carpets - Half way there.
The other clue would be it comes from their album 'Devil hopping'

Scouser 05-25-2009 11:32 AM

Re: Pictionary

oooh neija you may have something there:nod:

Jimborama 05-25-2009 02:40 PM

Re: Pictionary

Awww, it took me ages to draw
I will get ya back next time Mwahahahahaha

Yes neija, you are correct, I shouldn't pick songs by my faves should I? ;)

Over to you :)

neija 05-25-2009 06:47 PM

Re: Pictionary

I'm sure you'll get me back

But guess not, I googled halfway, devil and lyrics, they came up, so was quite easy this time.

Ok...took my a while to come up with something...and even longer to figure out how to make a cut out in gimp

It's a piece of art:

itSFMe 05-25-2009 06:59 PM

Re: Pictionary

A piece of art - does that mean it can be anything from painting to sculpture?

The pose really reminds me of
Le Penseur (Rodin). He is definitely thinking about something, waiting for an idea to arise (the lamp to start glowing)

Jimborama 05-25-2009 07:13 PM

Re: Pictionary

Ha, wonderfully vague neija ;)

Looks a bit Zeusy...?

neija 05-25-2009 07:18 PM

Re: Pictionary

Yep, can be from painting to sculpture.

Vague?...you're laughing with my new founds skills

One clue has been mentioned :)

Jimborama 05-26-2009 02:33 AM

Re: Pictionary

Not laughing at skills hon  applauding the 'no chance without a clue or inspiration' post :)
