'Cheez', I sighed, as I contemplated another supper of cold rice and cocktail weenies, lying on my back with a spatula in one hand as I tried to scrape cheese and pepperoni from the passenger side door and its plastic speaker.

He could have cared less about the mess on the door or the speaker but the thought of rice and cocktail weenies was more than he could tolerate.

And he sure could tolerate a lot, having endured a lifetime next door to the world's least successful soprano, and having repeatedly borne the scorn of others at his brother's failed attempts to manufacture edible synthetic pasta.

Gerald had a lump in his wallet, and he knew such things could be fatal if they went untreated, so on the advice of his physician he went shopping, feeling that natural remedies such as this were preferable to radiation as methods to reduce lumps in a wallet.
