there are way too many buttons on all of the way too many remote controls, so i thought if i picked some of them off it would be simpler. but then i couldn't work out how to turn the tv on, so i thought maybe if i pulled the plug off and took it apart... um, the remains of the remotes are in the bin, along with the remains of my eyebrows....
