well..Waltzing Matilda IS a phrase...a common one in Australia. I don't know if there is a phrase anywhere that starts with Matilda...I have a few in mind (OK 2....) but I want to get the original poster of the this thread and her thoughts on this before we can continue...

I beg to differ
I am an Aussie, and its not a phrase at all. Its the name of a famous song, that few people really bother to think about these days in Aus.
So i think that it doesnt qualify for being a phrase.
